Chapter 105

A/N: I forgot to originally put this, but I think I'm going to take a break for a few days. Just a few. I still have plenty of ideas and I'm nowhere close to writers block.  I'm still not sure but if I don't post as normally, that's why lol. I've been putting off Season 10 of the walking dead to be able to push out chapters every day for months lol. It's about time I finally finish it.

Y/N frowned, crossing her arms as she placed the baby on the bed. She stuck her tongue out at him as he smiled sleepily at her. "He'll sleep for a while." Y/N murmured aloud, tucking him in against the bed. Ko nodded besides her, pulling her hair up and into a tight bun. "We'll be back by the time anyone comes to check on us." She muttered.

"I would hope so." Ko murmured, her arms crossed. Her mother was tying her hair up tightly, a concentrated look on her face. "You said you saw a locked room?" Ko asked her quietly, making Y/N nod.

"The entire hallway above us, I only saw it for a flash but it looked like there was a padlock on the door. I can pick that."

"Me too." Ko murmured, nodding. "Shouldn't be bad." She smiled up at Y/N.

"Just make sure you listen to everything I say." Y/N walked off to the kitchen, trailing towards the complete cutlery. She lifted a knife out of the kitchen drawer, pocketing it quickly. She handed a small one to Ko, who did the same with the strap on her knee. "We never know who can come in. We don't know this place." Y/N muttered. Ko nodded, taking a bite out of her waffle.

"Did you find anything in his dresser?" Ko asked, tilting her head. Y/N shook her head no.

"I didn't expect to. I don't think he'd risk that considering he's leaving us alone. Besides we share a space." Y/N crossed her arms. "There was nothing in the closet, and nothing in the bedroom either."

"I didn't see anything in the guest room." Ko walked with her to the front door. "It doesn't have his personality, mother." She murmured, folding her hands behind her head. Y/N nodded. "It looks like this entire apartment is... well kinda generic." Ko shrugged, finding the correct words. "It looks like a hotel would, or a bed and breakfast. No personality at all." Y/N nodded at her words.

I agree." Y/N pulled the doorknob, looking up and down the hallway. She and Ko took the hall, walking down as they quietly moved throughout the hallway. "I bet this isn't the room he was staying in originally. However." She pointed upwards. "He told me upstairs was vacant. If I'm correct, that the higher ups are placed on the highest floors." Y/N looked down at the small girl with a wiggle of her eyebrows. "I'm willing to bet that the floor isn't as vacant as he made it seem. It's probably his old room."

Ko gasped, nodding with her. "Especially if there's actually a lock on it, momma." Ko whispered. "It just means he doesn't want anyone in there." Y/N nodded. "You're smart." She added an evil look to her lips.

Y/N and her stopped at the staircase, taking a deep breath. "Once we do this, there's no turning back." She warned the small girl as she looked down at her.

"I'm ready, mother." Ko clasped her hand's together as she reached out for Y/N. "We should split up." She added quietly as the girls looked together. Y/N looked at her suddenly. "You know what you're looking for when it comes to the future, mother. I want to go above." She pointed up higher as they kept climbing stairs. "That scary guy and his apartment need to be investigated. Maybe he has clues too." Y/N shook her head no.

"Let me search his apartment. He's dangerous." Y/N murmured. "I don't want you near him."

"Kawaki said the Queen will be checking on you. That means we have to hurry up and find what we can, and get right back." Ko crossed her arms. "Don't worry momma. I'll be quick and quiet." Ko put a hand to her forehead. Y/N sighed, nodding. "Besides, I can move quickly and into tiny spaces." Ko crossed her arms.
