Chapter 9

Y/N ran as fast as she could around the house, dropping the towel as she pulled her drawers out urgently. "Shit." Sasuke muttered, quickly dressing next to her.

"He's gonna be okay." Shikamaru said with his eyes clamped shut. "We just gotta get there quick, and can y'all not be fucking in the middle of the fucking day?" Shikamaru cursed. "As far as I know, Y/N gave all of her friends her fucking door code."

"Alright!" Y/N quickly threw her panties on. "Sakura's the only one that doesn't knock though!" She snapped at him, throwing on her ninja gear and outfit quickly. She didn't have time to do her hair, instead just quickly throwing it into a messy bun.

"Whatever, just please change the fucking code if we survive this." Shikamaru groaned. "If my wife finds out, or god forbid Ino."

"Not fucking important right now!" Sasuke glared, quickly finishing lacing up his boots. "Y/N let's move it."

"Coming." Y/N grabbed her sword, hitching it on her hip. She grabbed her backpack with the kunai and quickly shoved everything she needed.

"Let's roll." Sasuke immediately left, the two of them jogging behind him.

"Just who is this?" Y/N asked, looking around in horror.

"I'm surprised you didn't hear the carnage." Shikamaru noted. "They attacked out of nowhere. You've met them in battle before, you and Sasuke."

Y/N's face fell immediately. Sasuke groaned. "It's not those stupid fucking moon bastards are it?" Sasuke growled. Y/N paled. They were incredibly strong and it had taken so much just to hold out until Sasuke and Naruto had arrived.

"This way." Shikamaru directed them and pointed towards the explosions. Fire and carnage were lighting up in the distance. All around them buildings were damaged by neighboring jutsus.

"Shit." The three of them ducked as a fireball dove over their heads, smashing into a neighboring building. All around them, they could hear people screaming and running.

"I hope everyone's safe." Y/N muttered sadly, Sasuke looking at her in anger. "What?" She snapped.

He gripped her shoulder and pulled her close, his lips just inches from hers. "They will be if you just fucking focus." Sasuke then pushed her lightly, making her flinch.

"Your right, others are counting on us." Y/N lurched forward, looking around wildly. "There he is!" Y/N yelled, watching as Naruto was locked in a taijutsu battle with another ninja.

"It's only one kid, but he's already destroyed the district by the Hokage tower." Shikamaru gritted his teeth. "He keeps saying your name."

Y/N looked at the teen fighting Naruto, her eyes taking in the familiar war paint. "Oh." Sasuke muttered, narrowing his eyes at the boy. "It's that idiot we met on the mission that declared his love for you, the one from the future." He rolled his eyes angrily.

"He's fucking back?!" Y/N huffed. She watched as he fought with incredible power, absorbing and warping chakra and whatever Naruto threw at him.

"Go distract him, I'll sneak around." Sasuke huffed. Y/N immediately leapt down into the war zone, sneaking behind a Column to engage the battle. Naruto, who was in sage mode, almost instantly sensed her.

"Y/N, stay back." Naruto yelled, jumping away from the teen. At the mention of her name, his head snapped in her direction.

"It's me." Y/N stepped out, looking outwards to the boy. "Hi Kawaki cutie." She used their same nickname she had given him 5 years ago, when she had first met the boy. He looked exactly the same, but looked at her with narrowed eyes.
