"It's pretty in here." Jataro said absently, sitting on the floor. Sasuke stayed quiet, flat on his back on the bed. Ko was working quietly on him, her small hands carefully wrapping his head to cover his freshly cleaned sharingan. Nagi was staring at his computer screen in deep thought, analyzing their next move. The room they were in was indeed beautiful. It was a large family room. Another bigger bed was across from them, with their own private access to a bathhouse.

"What are you doing?" Sasuke asked Ko as she got on her knees at the window. Her hands were clasped together, her chin to her chest.

"She prays sometimes." Nagi said quietly, already dressed in his pajamas. The moonlight was the only light in the room. Sasuke scoffed.

"You think that actually works?" Sasuke huffed angrily. "I would have thought you guys would be smarter than that."

Ko ignored him, calmly shrugging her shoulders. "It doesn't work for me." Ko shrugged again, smiling. Her eyes were alight as she opened them. "But maybe it's because sometimes we pray for ourselves when it should be for the others. Maybe Mother can feel this." She proudly said some words in her head.

Sasuke huffed. "The only thing she's gonna feel is pain." Sasuke punched the mattress. "That's all I could ever give them." Sasuke drifted off, shaking his head as he covered his face.

"That's not true." Nagi climbed into bed beside him. "You didn't do anything wrong."

"I was supposed to be there." Sasuke shakily said, glaring at the moon. "I should have gotten there in time." Sasuke clenched his fist tightly, tearing into his palm. "I've let them down again." Sasuke repeated. "What else do I do?"

"You did what she asked you to do." Masaru smiled gently from his side of the bed. "I'm sure she'll be happy with you."

"She won't." Sasuke looked at the window. "I was never able to make her happy. I failed her over and over again." Sasuke looked guilty at the moon. It was full tonight, it's bright light shining boldly. "I failed them both no matter how I tried."

"Shut up." Nagi rolled his eyes at him. "Whatever happened isn't your fault. You took care of us. Nobody can blame you for that."

"If they could see what I did after all their hard work to clear my name... I'll never change." Sasuke shook his head. "It just sucks." Sasuke exhaled hard.

"It's going to be okay." Ko said, closing her eyes extra hard. "When I was in jail, I prayed that my friends weren't dead. Eventually, Nagisa broke us all out of prison! Even though we were big fat jerks!" Ko took a deep breath. "So If I pray for you, maybe you'll get good luck too." Ko smiled.

Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Do what you want then." He huffed, self loathing.  Jataro joined Ko, getting down on his knees as well.

"I'll pray with you." Jataro shrugged. "Not like I have anything better to do." He shrugged lightly. He yawned, bowing his head as well.

"Me too." Nagi said, making Sasuke turn to him in surprise. "I don't believe it all the time. However when someone isn't in a good place, it's the right thing to do. No matter how small we can fix it, it's a nice gesture." Nagi climbed over him, flashing Sasuke a nice smile.

"Jataro's our priest. It's where she learned it from." Masaru jumped off the bed too, flashing Sasuke a cocky grin. "If you believe hard enough, I'm sure good things will happen." Masaru pulled on Sasuke's shirt.

Sasuke frowned, watching all the kids gather at the window. He watched as they all bowed together, looking up at the sky through the vast moonlight. "How does it work?" Sasuke asked, watching blanketly as the kids clasped their hands.
