Naruto and Sasuke traveled through the secret hallway, confused as they surveyed the many doors. "What's that panel?" Naruto wondered, immediately walking over to it. He reached out to touch the buttons, wondering what they did. Sasuke smacked his hand instantly.
"Dobe. We don't know what this is." Sasuke glowered at him. "Don't go setting off an alarm." He muttered at him.
"This room looks weird." Naruto whispered. "There's an activation button." He pointed to the panel. Sasuke nodded, reaching over with a sigh.
"We don't know what it activates, dobe." Sasuke looked around again. "What are all these doors to?"
"I'm pressing it." Naruto frowned. He pressed it as Sasuke groaned internally, the two of them surprised as the entire room alight in blue chaka. The doors suddenly opened, making them pause. "What do we have here?" He frowned, looking in a door.
Sasuke grabbed his shoulder tightly, freezing. "Shit that's Y/N." Y/N was on her knees, facing a red headed woman. Her hands were bound in front of her, a dead look in her face as she spoke to the woman.
"That's her too." Sasuke paled as he saw her unconscious, blood dripping down her forehead. "Why are there two?" Naruto read the inscription on the door.
"It says 'erased'." Naruto frowned, holding a hand through the door. The quality of the air inside was different, almost as if it was underwater.
"The tree's inscription has to do with time." Sasuke muttered. "Could this be the future?" He looked worriedly. "She looks different in both of them."
The one where she was kneeling, tied in a dimly lit room had a green light over it. It had no words written on the door, and there was water in the room as well. "As hard as it is." Sasuke walked over to the door, shutting his hand on the power core. The room enveloped into the darkness. "The future is none of our business, and if we dabble into it..." Sasuke shook his head.
"Really?" Naruto exclaimed, worried as the door shut. "She didn't look really good."
"It said erased, didn't it dobe." Sasuke muttered with a stern nod. "We won't let that future come arise."
"But what was the other one?" Naruto asked. Sasuke shook his head.
"We won't have to worry about that. She won't be allowed to see him after this." Sasuke muttered. "Come with me." He ordered Naruto. Naruto cautiously followed him. "Don't even bother looking in here, it's none of our business." Sasuke muttered.
"Sasuke." Naruto was surprised he was acting so mature about it. "Are you sure?" Naruto asked him, making Sasuke nod.
"We're looking for evidence that he's not as innocent as he said, dobe. Y/N's future with him is irrelevant, because she won't have one with him." Sasuke explained quietly. "Perhaps it's time we talked about Y/N going on missions. I don't like her doing that." He explained to Naruto.
"Yeah. I gotta admit that kinda scared me." Naruto muttered. "We talked about it a little, but Y/N didn't exactly like the idea of her not working. "I mean I can always share my Hokage fortune with her, but money would be a bit of an issue."
"Not an issue at all." Sasuke frowned. "Y/N shouldn't leave the village." Sasuke pointed to the doorway. "Look at what she's gotten herself into. We can put her up in whatever house she wants, make sure she has money for food and clothes, whatever she wants." Sasuke shrugged lightly. "But I don't want her in harm's way again."
"Alright." Naruto agreed. "I don't mind if it will keep her safe. We just got to get Y/N to agree." Naruto shushed Sasuke lightly. "And no we can't force her." Sasuke shut his mouth immediately, grumbling.
