Entry 972
Sunday 26th May 2019God, I'm p*ssed off! Naomi almost ruined everything! I can't believe what a selfish b*tch she can be.
After the usual morning of sorting out Leo, putting up with put-downs from Mum and then spending most of my time sweeping up litter and picking up sh*t, I was keen to see if Naomi had spoken to Nikki and sorted things out.
Once I'd finished my shift early in the afternoon I started to make my way back, and just as I was leaving the centre of Cowes, I saw Nikki coming into the centre of Cowes. She didn't notice me, so I called over to her. She stopped, rolled her eyes and looked unimpressed. She crossed her arms in a disapproving manner as I walked over to her. "Hi," I said, with a smile on my face. As I got closer, I noticed Nikki had a fresh cut on her top lip. "Have you hurt yourself?" I asked. "What do you want, Luke?" Nikki bluntly said. "Has Naomi been to see you?" I asked. "Yes," Nikki, firmly said, "It's obvious you sent her." "I just wanted her to explain things to you," I said, "Did she tell you that we're just friends and that nothing's going on between us?" "Luke, I told you I didn't want you going anywhere near her," snapped Nikki, "I mean, is this your effort to try and get me back? I tell you to stay away from her, so you decide to ignore me, go and see her and tell her to come around and see me. What the Hell is wrong with you?" "I thought it might help," I said. "My God, you're an idiot," said Nikki. "I just wanted her to explain things," I said, "Me and Naomi are just friends." "Yes, but there was a time when you wanted to be more than her friend wasn't there?" said Nikki. "Well... Yeah," I said, "But that was then, and this is now. It's you that I want to be with, not Naomi." There was a short pause. Nikki looked up; as if she was wavering slightly. "You know once you get to know her, I think you'll quite like her," I said. "Get to know her!?" exclaimed an angry Nikki, "I don't want to get to know her! She's a horrible person!" Nikki's eyes started to water. "What do you mean?" I asked, frowning with confusion, "What's wrong?" Nikki then burst out crying. Her face turned red as tears trickled down her face. "That b*tch, turned up on my doorstep a couple of hours ago!" Nikki angrily wept, "She turned up, had a go at me, called me all the names under the sun and said you could do better than me and that I should stay away from you!" "What?" I said, sounding confused and rather shocked. "She called me a control freak," snapped Nikki as she wiped the tears off her face, "She said I was f*cking crazy, that I was a bunny boiler and should be locked up. It was horrible. I was just sat in my living room and the next thing I know, Naomi's banging on my front door, having a go at me and insulting me." "God, I don't believe this," I said. "Oh, so you're calling me a liar, are you?" snapped Nikki. "No, no, no, no," I frantically said, "Not at all. It's just that I sent Naomi round to yours to try and sort things out, not to make things worse." "Well, look at this," snapped Nikki, pointing to her cut lip, "Does this look like she's made things worse?" "Are you saying Naomi did that?" I gasped. "Well, I didn't do it myself, did I?" she snapped, "I told her to go away and leave me alone, and then she just flew at me and punched me in the face." Nikki burst into tears again. I took a step closer, put my arms around her and comforted her. "God, I'm so sorry," I said, "This is all my fault. I was just trying to sort things out." "I was really scared, Luke," wept Nikki, "I had to push her away and lock myself inside. She was like a woman gone mad. I just don't get why you'd want someone like that in your life." "Well, do you know what?" I said, "I'm not so sure I do anymore. Come on." With a sense of determination, and feeling rather angry, I took Nikki by the hand and started leading her up the road. "What are you doing?" she asked, "Where are we going?" "We're going to see Naomi," I firmly said, "She owes you an apology."
When I arrived at Naomi's I felt like a man on a mission. Standing on her front doorstep I firmly knocked on the door, adopted a serious expression and then took hold of Nikki's hand in an attempt to present as a united front. "I'm going to sort this out," I said to Nikki with a sense of determination. A few moments later Naomi answered the door. She seemed rather surprised and slightly suspicious when she saw Nikki and I on her doorstep. "Oh..." she said, "Well... I suppose we could do with a talk." "A talk?" I exclaimed, "I don't think so. You were supposed to TALK earlier on, but that didn't happen did it? We're here for an apology." Naomi looked utterly confused. "What?" she exclaimed with sheer confusion. "An apology," I firmly said, "We want an apology." "What are you talking about?" exclaimed Naomi, "An apology for what?" "For this!" I loudly snapped, pointing at Nikki's cut lip, "For insulting my girlfriend. For causing trouble. For sh*t stirring. For throwing your weight around. Do you really need me to go on?" "OK," said Naomi, looking increasingly confused, "Rewind a bit. I have no idea what you're talking about. Are you saying that I gave her a busted lip?" "Well, she didn't do it to herself!" I loudly snapped. "Hang on a minute!" Naomi loudly snapped, getting angrier by the minute, "I was trying to help you. I didn't have to go round to see her and try and sort things out. I was doing you a favour." "Sort things out!?" I loudly exclaimed, "Doing me a favour!? Are you taking the p*ss? You insult my girlfriend and then punch her in the face." "I didn't punch anyone in the face!" snapped Naomi, "I went round and tried to sort things out. I was calm and polite. She was the one who started throwing insults about; Stay away from Luke, he's mine not yours, I know your type. She was vile to me. All that sort of sh*t." "Naomi, why are you saying this?" asked Nikki, "I tried to talk to you like a human being. I invited you in. I wanted to talk but it was obvious you just came round to have a go and tell me what you thought of me." "WHAT!?" Naomi loudly exclaimed in anger. "Nikki says you told her to stay away from me," I said. "I NEVER said that," snapped Naomi. "She said you called her a control freak, f*cking crazy and a bunny boiler who should be locked up," I said. "Yeah, OK," said Naomi, "I did say that, but only because she started having a go at me. Luke, you're getting this all wrong. I went round there to talk to her, to tell her me and you are just mates, and to sort things out. She called me a sl*g, and said if I didn't stay away from you, I'd regret it and that she'd make me suffer." "Luke," said Nikki, "Seriously. I didn't say any of those things. Naomi, when you turned up on my doorstep, I wanted us to get everything sorted out. I invited you in, I told you it would be good if we had a chat and you just lost it and started having a go at me. I don't know what I've ever done to you or why you don't like me but there's no need to lie like this." There was a short pause. Naomi shook her head and gave Nikki a look of contempt. "You two-faced lying manipulative b*tch," snapped Naomi. She then aggressively launched herself at Niki, but I quickly jumped in her path to try and protect Nikki. As Naomi threw herself at Nikki, she clenched her fist, raised her arm and was about to punch Nikki but in the scuffle that followed, it was me that ended up getting punched. I fell to the ground, tended to my nose, and was helped to my feet by both Niki and Naomi. Blood trickled out of my left nostril as I gave Naomi a furious look of contempt. "God, Luke," said Naomi, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hit you. I was going for her. You got in the way." Of course, I got in the way," I snapped, "She's my girlfriend, and you're supposed to be my friend. You're supposed to help me out, not have a go at the woman I'm seeing, punch her in the face and then punch me in the face." "I DIDN'T PUCNH HER IN THE FACE!" yelled Naomi. "Oh, yeah," I sarcastically said, "Because the behaviour you've JUST displayed really goes in your favour doesn't it!?" "I punched you by accident!" Naomi snapped. "Yeah, as you were going to punch Nikki!" I loudly snapped, "And you expect me to believe you didn't punch her earlier on? She's got a bust lip Naomi. Christ, what the f*ck is wrong with you!?" "What the f*ck is wrong with me!?" Naomi exclaimed, "What the f*ck is wrong with you!? She is totally playing you, and you're falling for it!?" "I'm not playing anyone," said Nikki, "I think you've shown your true colours. You just can't handle the fact that Luke wants to spend time with a woman who isn't you." "Oh shut up, you complete psycho," snapped Naomi. "Oi, don't speak to her like that," I said. "LUKE! WAKE UP!" Naomi yelled, "She's taking the p*ss out of you! She's taking you for a complete mug! She probably bust her own lip so she can play the victim." This shocked me. I thought that comment was below the belt. "God," I said, shaking my head in disappointment, "I don't know why you're being like this, but this isn't OK. I'm in a relationship with Nikki and if you can't handle that then that's YOUR problem, not mine." Nikki and I walked off and I was left feeling really angry with Naomi.
I went round to Nikki's. I'm still here now. She tended to my bloody nose, made me a cup of tea and we sat down and had a good chat. I told her I was sorry for making the situation worse and I told her I was sorry for sending Naomi round. Nikki accepted my apology, and we kissed and made up. We're back together so at least something good has come out of this day. I'm so angry with Naomi. I really can't believe how selfish she can be, and as for suggesting Nikki punched herself in the face and gave herself a cut lip, it's madness! God knows what's gotten into her. I told Nikki that as far as I was concerned, Naomi still owed her an apology. "I doubt I'm going to get one," said Nikki. "Well, I'll see her tomorrow and tell her she has to apologise to you," I said. Nikki wrapped her arms around me and gave me a kiss. "My lovely man fighting for my honour," she said. "Yeah, well I'm serious," I said, "She can't keep throwing her weight around like this." "What if she refuses to apologise?" asked Nikki. "I don't know," I said. "Maybe she's the one who's been sending me those nasty letters," said Nikki. "I don't think so," I said, "Naomi might be reckless, but I don't think she'd send you letters like that. It's not her style." "Are you standing up for her?" asked Nikki. "No," I said, "After what she did to you, I am definitely NOT standing up for her. I'm just saying that posting threatening letters isn't the sort of thing Naomi would do." "Well I feel sorry for her," said Nikki, "Since her husband disappeared, she obviously doesn't want to see anyone else happy. It's pathetic really. I said it before, and I'll say it again; I don't know why you want a friend like that in your life." "Well hopefully we can get all this sorted out," I said, "She'll apologise to you and then we can put it all behind us." "What if she doesn't apologise?" asked Nikki, "What if she refuses?" I stopped and thought for a moment. "I don't know," I said, "I guess I'll have to cross that bridge when I come to it."
I'm staying over at Nikki's tonight. I'm really angry at Naomi. She acts like she can do whatever the Hell she wants to do and it's just not on! Whilst I'm p*ssed off with Naomi, I'm overjoyed that Nikki and I are back together and spending time together. I really think we're going to be very happy together.
