Entry 1075
Friday 6th September 2019

I met with Mike and Sci-Fi Cyn at Sails Café today and told them about me moving back to Sandown.

I walked into the café and Mike and Cyn were sat in our usual spot. Cyn pushed a mug of tea over to me that she'd just bought, I sat down and took a deep breath. Mike and Cyn noticed the slightly awkward look on my face. "What's happened?" Sci-Fi Cyn tentatively asked. "Please don't go mad," I said. "I won't go mad," said Sci-Fi Cyn. "I was talking to Mike," I said. "Why would I go mad?" asked Mike, "Oh God, she's not having twins is she?" "No," I said, "It's not about the pregnancy. Not directly anyway." "What do you mean?" asked Mike, looking like a focused cat, perching on the edge of a fence about to pounce. "Well, I've come to a decision," I said. "OK..." said an uncertain and intrigued Sci-Fi Cyn as Mike's tense expression intensified. An anxious silence lingered which was followed by me taking a big deep breath and blurting out what I wanted to say. "I'm moving back in with Nikki," I said, "There. I said it. It's out there now. I don't want to be judged. I don't want to be criticized. I don't want any sh*t. OK." An uncomfortable silence followed. Sci-Fi Cyn squirmed looking like she wanted to say something but was struggling to find the right words. Mike froze and maintained his tense expression, showing me the whites of his eyes. The awkward silence lingered. I looked at Mike and Cyn feeling uncomfortable and hoping that one of them would speak. "Well, say something then!" I snapped. "Well, seeing as you don't want criticism, it's difficult to find something to say," said Sci-Fi Cyn. "Thanks," I bluntly said. "Luke, I don't think moving back with Nikki is a good idea," said Sci-Fi Cyn, "I mean come on, Luke... She's violent, she's manipulative, she's unstable and she's prepared to tell lies and make false accusations." "Cyn, she's having my baby," I said. "I know, but that doesn't cancel out what I just said," said Cyn, "If anything it could make everything worse." "How do you mean?" I asked. "If she gets violent, she'll probably think she can hit you, knowing that you can't defend yourself against her because she's pregnant," said Sci-Fi Cyn. "Look, I'm not going to put up with any of her sh*t," I said, "Me and Mum have been round to see her, and I laid down the law."

I told Mike and Cyn more details about my plans, including how Leo was going to stay with Mum and Auntie Meryl. "Well," said Sci-Fi Cyn, "I suppose you have to do what you think is right. Just make sure you look after yourself and watch your back." I looked at the crazed and slightly mental expression that was on Mike's face that had been there ever since I told him and Cyn that I was moving back in with Nikki. The way he was looking at me was rather unsettling. "Mike don't sit there looking at me like that," I said, "You look like you're about to strangle me. Me and Nikki aren't getting back together. I just want to be there whilst she's pregnant with my kid. You understand that don't you? She shouldn't really be on her own. I'll still meet up with you and Cyn. You can come to Sandown, and I can come here. I can see you two, and Mum, Leo, and Auntie Meryl at the same time. Mike, please say something." A short pause followed. "Would you be moving in with her if she wasn't pregnant?" asked Mike. "No," I said, "Of course I wouldn't. This is all about the baby." "So, if there was no baby, you'd stay here in Cowes?" said Mike. "Yeah," I said. Mike's tense expression was quickly replaced with a smug grin and a mischievous look. "Mike," I said, in a worrying tone, "What are you thinking?" "Don't worry, babes," said Mike, "I'll sort it." "No," I firmly said, sounding rather nervous, "I don't want you to sort anything. Mike, promise me. Promise me you won't do anything that's going to make things worse. Promise me. Seriously, Mike. Promise me." "OK," said Mike, with a cheeky grin, "I promise I won't do anything that's going to make things worse." Mike then gave me a naughty wink as he nodded his head. "What's that?" I said, pointing at Mike, "What is it? What's that. That smiley wink thing. What's that all about?" "Nothing," said Mike, "Babes, just calm down. You've got nothing to worry about." Mike gave me another cheeky wink. "OK," I firmly said, "Let me make this absolutely clear, I do not, repeat –DO NOT, want you to do anything – ANYTHING, that's going to make things worse. Please tell me you understand." "I understand babes," said Mike, "You've got nothing to worry about. Everything's going to be alright." I gave Sci-Cyn a look of concern. Mike had made a promise to me, but I was still feeling unsettled. I hope he doesn't do anything. The last thing I need is a Mike influenced intervention.

I went to see Auntie Meryl in hospital and had a chat with her about me moving back to Sandown tomorrow. She wasn't happy about me leaving her in a house with Mum and Leo, but I reassured her by saying I'd be back a couple of time a week to see her and Leo. "That's right," complained Auntie Meryl, "Leave me in that whore house with your slag of a mother and that screaming child of yours whilst you're living it up by the beach." "Auntie Meryl," I said, "That's not fair. I'll hardly be living it up. I'll be in a house with a bl**dy nightmare of a woman." "So, will I," said Auntie Meryl, "And I'll be cooperating from life threatening surgery." "Recuperating," I said. "What?" said Auntie Meryl. "You mean recuperating, not cooperating," I said. "It's got nothing to do with being at the COOP," said Auntie Meryl, "It's to do with me getting out of hospital. You said you were going to look after me, and now look, you're abandoning me!" "OK," I said, despairingly throwing my arms in the air, "Shall I say where I am with you and Mum and get Nikki to come and move in with us?" "You can frig off," said an offended Auntie Meryl, "That two faced trollop walks into my house, and I'll wipe that floor with her." "Exactly," I said, "It's better if I go and live with her rather than having her come and live with us. Everything will work out fine, and you'll end up with a great-niece or another great-nephew." "I don't think anything great could come out of that nasty beast," said Auntie Meryl.

I'm all packed now. I've got my stuff all bagged up and I'm ready to move back to Sandown tomorrow. I feel a bit nervous about it. I'm sure there's going to be some ups and downs living with Nikki, but I need to remember that any sh*t I have to put up with is worth it because I'll get to be there during the pregnancy and at the birth. Three kids, eh? Three kids! Two years ago, I didn't have any kids. Well... I didn't think I had any kids. Now look at me. Big day tomorrow. I have a feeling it's going to be eventful. I just hope it's not going to be TOO eventful.
