Entry 1101
Wednesday 2nd October 2019

Well, it all kicked off today didn't it, and a decision was made.

I overslept which mean I jumped out of bed and spent the morning running around the house, getting washed, throwing on some clothes, gobbling down tea and toast and getting ready for work, as Naomi sorted Sophie. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Nikki said with a painfully cheery smile. "I'm OK thanks," I said, as I dashed from one side of the living room to the other. As I darted over to the hallway to grab my coat I nearly fell over Sophie who was playing in the doorway, whilst Naomi was upstairs getting ready. "Oh, sorry, Sophie," I said, "I nearly whacked right into you, then didn't I?" "Look," said Nikki, picking up Sophie, "I'll take Sophie into the kitchen so you can finish off getting ready."

Nikki took Sophie into the kitchen as I continued dashing around and getting ready for work and once, I was ready, Naomi came dashing downstairs, drying her hair and rushing around like me. "You ready?" Naomi asked me sounding all flustered. "Yeah," I said, "I need to make a move. Gary will be turning up to give me a lift any second." "Where's Sophie?" asked Naomi. "She's with Nikki in the kitchen," I said. Naomi and I walked towards the kitchen and noticed the door was closed. This was odd. The kitchen door is usually always open. "Why's the kitchen door shut?" asked Naomi turning to look at me.  A short silence followed as Naomi and I exchanged concerning expressions. "Oh God, what the Hell is she doing to her in there?" said a frantic Naomi as she quickly made her way to the kitchen door. "No, wait a minute," I said, grabbing Naomi's arm and stopping her from barging into the kitchen, "Just wait." I slowly crept over to the kitchen door, slowly opened it and listened from the very tiny crack. Naomi followed and listened with me. What the two of us heard shocked us and caused us to feel intense anger. Nikki was talking to Sophie but I felt so angry hearing what she was saying to her, that I could feel my whole body consumed with rage. "What's that?" Sophie asked Nikki. "They're called scars," said Nikki, "I got them when I cut myself. Your Nan made me do it. She's not a very nice person you know? She pushed me down the stairs too. She really hurt me." Naomi was about to barge into the kitchen but I stopped her and quietly told her to wait and listen to what else Nikki had to say. I know she wanted to get Sophie away from Nikki, but Nikki was digging a hole for herself not knowing that Naomi and I could hear everything she was saying, and I wanted her to keep going. I was furious, but I wanted to wait until I unleashed my anger. "I could be your Nan," said Nikki, "I think I'd be a better Nan than the Nan you've got right now. What do you think? You know you never really met your Mummy because your Nan killed her. Isn't that horrible?" That was it! Naomi flipped, kicked the door open and barged into the kitchen giving a scared bit also slightly smug looking Nikki one of the most furious looks I've ever seen. A very tense silence followed as Naomi gave Nikki a vicious stare. I quickly picked up Sophie, popped her in the living room, left her with something to play with on the rug and quickly returned to the kitchen and closed the door. "You twisted b*tch," a very angry Naomi sniped at Nikki in an intimidating tone and showing her the whites of her eyes. "What do you mean!?" exclaimed, "Your granddaughter just tried to stab me!" "WHAT!?" Naomi loudly exclaimed, "My nearly three-year-old granddaughter tried to stab you!? Is that what you're saying!?" "Nikki, we heard everything," I firmly said, "We were right behind the door. We heard everything." "Oh, so now you're spying on me and listening in on my private conversations!?" snapped Nikki, "So much for you two wanting to make an effort!" "No!" Naomi angrily snapped, "No! No! No! No! You do NOT get to play the victim here! You've just told my granddaughter, a little toddler that I'm responsible for you cutting yourself, that I'm not a very nice person, that I pushed you down the stairs, that YOU could be her Nan instead of me and that I killed her Mum! She's three!" "She deserves to be told the truth," sad Nikki. "My God, you really are a TWISTED f*cked up witch, aren't you?" snapped Naomi, "It's a bl**dy good job your pregnant because if you weren't, I'd kick the f*cking sh*t out of you right now! You know I have put up with some cr*p from you. The insults, the put downs, slashing your wrists, taking an overdose, chucking yourself down the stairs and trying to blame me, those b*tchy passive aggressive comments you made yesterday, and that's before we even start talking about all the lies you told about me, and do you know what, I can just about deal with that, but when you involve my granddaughter in your messed up sh*t, you cross a line. You're evil. Literally evil. Anyone who does half the sh*t you do is f*cked in the head, but to say that all that to toddler, you need help! I'm taking my granddaughter away from here and away from you. I can see why Luke doesn't want Leo around you. I don't ever want my Sophie around you again. You're not right. You're not safe to be around children." Nikki's nostrils flared. She frowned and picked up the nearest thing to her which was a frying pan. She was about to attack Naomi with it, but Naomi, as quick as flash lunged towards Nikki, grabbed the frying pan out of her hand, flung it across the kitchen and slapped Nikki hard across the face. I was a bit shocked at seeing this but not as shocked as Nikki. A short silence followed. "Oh my God," gasped Nikki, clutching her cheek, "You slapped me. You f*cking slapped me! I'm pregnant!" "And that's why it was just a slap and not a punch," snapped Naomi, "Luke, I'm going. I'll see you in Cowes later on." I nodded, gave Naomi a kiss and then she took Sophie and left. I was now stood in the kitchen alone with Nikki. "I can't believe she slapped me," gasped Nikki, "I mean she slapped me – she actually slapped me. I'm pregnant and she slapped me, and you just stood there." "You deserved it," I bluntly said, "If I wasn't a man and you weren't pregnant with my kid, I might have slapped you myself. You're just a horrible person. A REALLY horrible person. I'm ging to walk out of this house and go to work, and I'm not going to come back. You and your baby are never going to see me ever again." I turned around and walked out of the kitchen and walked into the hallway. "What do you mean!?" Nikki loudly exclaimed, "You don't mean that! You can't mean that! I'm having your baby!" "I don't care," I casually said, shrugging my shoulders, "I don't want anything to do with the baby, and I sure as Hell don't want anything to do with you." "But this is YOUR baby!" yelled Nikki. "No," I said, opening the front door, "This is your baby not mine." I started to leave but Nikki started screaming. "DON'T YOU WALK AWAY FROM ME!!!" she screamed. "Nikki," I calmly said, "It's over. I told you that if you kept pushing me, I'd walk away. You kept pushing. So, I'm walking away. You're on your own. Bye, Nikki." Nikki proceeded to shout, scream and yell but I just ignored her, exited the house, walked down the harden path and met Gary who was parked at the end of the street ready to give me a lift to work. I felt weirdly calm. I'd made a decision and even thought it was a difficult one and certainly wasn't easy to come to, but I felt like I was at peace. I let the house genuinely thinking that I would never see Nikki again, and that I'd send someone round to pick up my belonging.

I got in Gary's car and he asked me how I was. "Do you know what?" I said in a calm tone, "I actually think I'm OK. I've come to a decision, and I'm OK about it." I told Gary about everything that had happened on the journey to Hive, and after my shift I went to Cowes. My first port of call was obviously to Naomi's and Ash's. Naomi had told everyone about what had happened with Nikki and I told Ash and Naomi about what I said to Nikki after I'd left. Naomi seemed surprised but Ash said I had made the right decision and that I could move in with him, Naomi and Sophie – which is what I was hoping on. "Hang on," said Naomi, "Nikki is STILL pregnant with your child. I know she's a psycho and I know she was bang out of order with Sophie but you can't just walk away from your own baby." "I can," I calmly said, "And I have. Naomi, Nikki is making it unbearable for us all to get along." "But it's your baby, Luke!" Naomi exclaimed. "No," I said, "It's not my baby anymore. It's Nikki's. She's on her own and I told her so. You said it yourself; she crossed a line today. There's no going back now." "Yeah, but Luke," said Naomi, "I..." "Naomi," I said, interrupting her, "I've made my decision. It's done." "So, you're just going to abandon your baby?" said Naomi. "Nikki's forced me to do this," I said, "Having her in my life is bad for me and it's bad for us. I tried to make it work with Nikki. God knows I tried. You know that, but I'm tired. I'm not going to try anymore. That baby is Nikki's. Not mine." I made my position quite clear but Naomi did look and sound disappointed.

Naomi and I went round to see Mum and Auntie Meryl and I spent some quality time with Leo, and then we went to see Mike and Sci-Fi Cyn at Sails Café. We told everyone about all the going's on and as usual everyone had an opinion. Mum said she'd go round to Nikki's and pick up my clothes and then pull the baby out of her and whack her round the head with it, Auntie Meryl said that if the baby is anything like Nikki it will come out with horns and three sixes on its head, Sci-Fi Cyn said she could see I'd made a difficult decision buy could understand my reasoning behind, telling me to be absolutely sure as she didn't want me to live to regret it, and Mike was overjoyed that I'd moved out of Nikki's and was now living in the next street to him. The person who seems to be most disappointed in me and suggesting that I have made the wrong decision is Naomi!

Tonight, I'm going to be sleeping in Naomi's bed with Naomi. It's been a rather emotional and stressful day but I'm sitting here now writing my diary wondering if me and Naomi are actually going to have any sex. I don't want to bring it up and I don't want to pressure her, but I do want us to have sex at some point. Mind you, we haven't even talked about me moving in with her and Ash. It just sort of happened. Naomi's been a bit quiet with me. I think she's disappointed that I've walked away from Nikki. I'm sorry but it just had to be done. Nikki is a certifiable nutter. God knows what other sort of sh*t she would have pulled if I'd have hung around.

I hope Naomi isn't going to be all quiet and silent with me for long. I have asked her if she's OK with me and she has said yes but I don't think she is. The bottom line though is that I've made my decision and I'll never see Nikki or her baby again. Time to move on...
