Entry 1094
Wednesday 25th September 2019

God, I'm exhausted.

I didn't go to work today, and why didn't I go to work today? Nikki!

It was about one in the morning. I think Naomi and I were feeling a bit nervous about sharing a bed as a couple for the first time, so we stayed up talking about that, along with lots of other things, all the stuff we've been through, what happened at Dumpville, and everything that went on with Courtney, and with Tara and ACROBAT. It was nice to chat. We were about to get undressed and changed into our bed clothes and get ready for bed when suddenly, some loud crying was heard coming from the landing outside. "What's that?" asked Naomi. "It's Nikki," I angrily said, rolling my eyes, "It'll be some sad desperate attempt for attention. Just ignore her." The crying got louder. "It sounds like she might be in pain," said a worried Naomi. "No," I said, "Don't do that. Don't fall this sh*t. Come on, you know what she's like, this is exactly the sort of cr*p we thought she'd pull. Do not go feeling sorry for her." "I'm not feeling sorry for her, Luke," said Naomi, "But she's pregnant with your child. I'm thinking about the baby, not her." Nikki again gave a loud cry. I gave a tiering sigh, rolled my eyes, and opened the door. When I looked out on to the landing, my eyes widened, and I gasped in horror at the distressing sight before. Nikki was sat on the landing floor, in her nighty, propped up against the wall with a bloody knife in her right hand and a bottle of tablets in the other. She'd slashed her wrists. It was a truly traumatising sight. Her nighty was smeared in blood stains and both of her hands and lower arms were covered in blood. "Oh sh*t!" gasped Naomi as she leapt into action and quickly knelt beside Nikki. I just stood in my bedroom doorway looking on at the developing scene with anger on my face, as Naomi quickly grabbed some nearby towels and started wrapping them around Nikki's bloody wrists. "Luke, don't just stand there," snapped Naomi, "Help me!" Feeling very annoyed with Nikki, I joined her and Naomi and started wrapping one of the towels around Nikki's right wrist, as Naomi dealt with Nikki's left wrist. "God, there's blood everywhere," said Naomi, "We're going to have to take her to hospital." "I know where I'd like to take her," I firmly said, "To the sea where I can chuck her in." "I'M DYING!!" screams hysterical Nikki, "I'M DYING!!! AAAAAGH!!!" "Oh, shut up," I snapped, "You're not dying you stupid cow. I wish you bl**dy were though." "Yes, that's right!" Nikki loudly snapped, "Wish me and your unborn child dead!"  Naomi grabbed the empty bottle of tablets out of Nikki's hand. "Nikki, how many of these have you taken?" Naomi urgently asked. Nikki ignored Naomi and looked like she was kind of in a world of her own. "NIKKI!" snapped Naomi. "F*ck off b*tch," said Nikki, slurring her words as her head wibbled from side to side. "We need to get her to the hospital so she can get her stomach pumped," said Naomi, "NIKKI – WHEN DID YOU TAKE THESE? HOW MANY DID YOU TAKE!?" Again, Nikki ignored Naomi. "Right," said Naomi standing up, "I'll start the car. You bring her down." "No," I said, "We can't break curfew." "Luke, it's an emergency," said Naomi. "Just radio through to GRID," I said, "They'll send someone round and take her to hospital." Naomi ran downstairs where the walkie talkie was. I looked down at Niki with a look of contempt on my face. "You really are a selfish b*tch aren't you?" I angrily said, "You've got to make it all about you." "I'm dying, here," wept Nikki. "Oh, f*ck off," I snaped, "You don't want to die. You wouldn't have slashed your wrists and swallowed those tablets and then sat outside my bedroom crying like a banshee if you really wanted to die. This is just another attention seeking game." "NOOOOO!!" Nikki loudly crossed as she continued to cry. "Oh, shut up," I snapped. I aggressively dragged Nikki up off the floor, flung her arm around me started to carry her downstairs. "I bet you feel proper guilty now, don't you?" Nikki said to me. "God, you really are a manipulative b*tch aren't you?" I said. I arrived in the hallway with Nikki and then Naomi reappeared. "I've radioed through," she said, "Someone from GRID should be here in two minutes. They said we just must keep her talking." "Oh, lovely," I sarcastically said, "What do you want to talk about Nikki? Going anywhere nice for your holidays? Strangled any cats lately?" "I just want to go to sleep," said Nikki, as she waved wobbled from side to side. "Oh, no you don't," said Naomi, as she put Nikki's right arm around her head, "Luke, grab her other arm. We need to keep her up and walk her around." I did as Naomi instructed and with her and I propping Nikki up like some sort of scarecrow, we started walking her around the ground floor of the house.

A few minutes later there was a loud knock on the door. I quickly removed Nikki's arm from around my neck, threw her to the floor like an unwanted sack of spuds and answered the door. Two big muscular GRID soldiers were stood in front of me, with their GRID jeep parked on the street at the edge of the drive. "We got a call through," said one of the soldiers. "She's in here," I unenthusiastically said. The two GRID soldiers assertively walked into the house and saw Nikki who laid on the hallway floor in a pathetic heap, covered in bloody towels with Naomi overlooking her. One of the soldiers scooped Nikki up in his arm like some sort of action hero. "Here," said Naomi, handing the other GRID soldier the empty bottle of tablets, "It looks like she took these. We don't know how many, and we don't really know when she took them, but I don't think it was that long ago. We just heard her crying about ten, fifteen minutes ago and that's when we found her." "OK," said the GRID soldier, "We've got room in the jeep for one more. Does one of you want to come with her?" "Yeah," said Naomi, "Luke will go with her." "I bl**dy won't," I said, "I'm staying here." "Luke, you need to go," said Naomi, "She can't go on her own?" "Why not?" I bluntly asked, "She's not exactly going to give good conversation, is she?" "Luke, you can't let her go on her own," said Naomi. "Yeah, I can," I said, "This is exactly what she wants, me running around after her. It's not happening. I'm staying here." "Look, you don't have to come," said the GRID soldier, "We've got all the info we need, but if one of you IS coming, you need to come now." "Neither of us are coming," I coldly said, "We'll see the attention seeking bint when she drags her sorry ass back here tomorrow." The two GRID soldiers left with Nikki. I stood on the doorstep and watched them drive off just as Natasha appeared on her doorstep. She asked me everything was OK, and I briefly explained what happened. I told her I wouldn't be in work tomorrow, and based on the night's chaotic events, she thankfully understood.

Went back inside, shut the door, and turned and looked at Naomi who seemed rather worried. "Don't look like that," I said. "I can't believe you didn't go with her," said Naomi. "I told you," I said, "I am not going to let her manipulate me." "Yeah, I know," said Naomi, "But she could die." "She's not going to f*cking die," I said, "If she really wated to die she'd have swallowed the tablets and slashed her wrists in the living room, not right outside my bedroom door crying like a b*tch. All for attention." "Yeah, but what if she went too far and didn't realise it," said Naomi, "Yes, this probably was some big attention seeking thing, but what if she swallowed too many tablets and cut her wrists too deep? What if she dies? What if she dies and takes your baby with her?" I paused for a moment. Naomi had a point. I hadn't thought of that. However, my brief concern didn't last long. "No," I said shaking my head, "Nikki's clever. She's manipulative. She probably gobbled those tablets and slashed her wrists seconds before we heard her crying. God, she might not have taken any tablets at all." "She's pregnant with your child, Luke!" exclaimed Naomi. "Well, maybe I don't want her to be pregnant with my f*cking child!" I snapped, "Sorry, but I don't think I can carry on like this. If this is how it's going to be, I really don't think I want to have a child with her. Maybe it's better all round that she dies and takes the kid with her." "Luke!" exclaimed Naomi. "Yeah, well, that's how I feel right now," I snapped, "God, this is supposed to be our first night together as a couple and that mental b*tch has ruined it." Naomi gave me a warm smile, took a step close to me and gave me kiss on the lips. "No, she hasn't," she gently said, as she held my hand, "Come on. Let's try and get some sleep."

The good news is that Naomi and I did enjoy a nice night's sleep together as we shared a bed for the first time. It felt weird at first, but it was kind of nice how normal and natural it quickly became. We didn't have sex. It just didn't feel right, and I think we were both two knackered after dealing with all the drama with Nikki.

Naomi and I spent most of the day walking along the beach, watching films cuddled up on the sofa, catching upon sleep and cooking together. It was nice. We spent some time speaking about Nikki, and Naomi said we should go to the hospital to see her. "No way," I said, "I don't want to give her any more attention than I already have. I'll see her when she gets back. She ruined our evening. She's not going to ruin our day." When Naomi left to go back to Cowes, we gave each other a kiss and I said I'd see her tomorrow in Cowes.

The thing is, it's nearly 10pm and Nikki still isn't back. I've radioed through to GRID to get an update, but they haven't got back to me. I'm tired, I'm still angry at Nikki, and I'm starting to worry a bit that Nikki might actually be dead. Mind you, wouldn't someone from GRID have told me? Oh, I don't know. We'll see if she turns up tomorrow.
