Entry 1109
Thursday 10th October 2019I woke up feeling really p*ssed off. I couldn't stop thinking about how Gary's mates Steve and John spoke to me yesterday. I felt like a right pathetic man. Next time I see them in the pub with Gary I'll show them that I can handle my booze just as much as they can.
I still haven't spoken to Tinsley. To be fair I haven't seen him but I can't keep putting off speaking to him. I went to GRID HQ and asked the woman on reception if I could see him but I got told in no uncertain terms that he was busy. At least if he does have a go at me, I can tell him that I tried to speak to him sooner, even though I'm secretly glad he wasn't free. I really don't like speaking to him about stuff. The man's always so angry and intense.
An interesting thing that did happen today was when me, Naomi, and Mike took Sophie and Leo for a walk on the beach. On the way back home, walking through the centre of Cowes, I saw someone outside Sails Cafe who looked rather familiar. I stopped walking and looked over at the man. "What's up?" asked Naomi, wondering why I'd suddenly stopped. "Oh my God," I gasped, suddenly feeling a sense of realisation, "It's him. It's that man." "What man?" asked Mike. "Dr Jones," I said, "He was the Doctor me and Nikki saw at the hospital. That's the guy who told me Nikki was definitely pregnant." I started to storm over to him but Naomi stopped me. "Wait," she said, holding my arm and nodding towards the GRID soldiers that were dotted around the High Street, "Just don't do anything rash. The GRID soldier will come down on you like a ton of bricks." "Go up to him babes, and break his legs and twist his head off his shoulders," said Mike. "No Mike," said Naomi, "I really don't think that's what we want." I slowly walked over to the Doctor all casual-like so I didn't arouse suspicion from the GRID soldiers." The Doctor had his back to me, so I tapped him on the shoulder, he turned round and he looked absolutely horrified when he saw the expression of anger on my face. "Oh God," he gasped. "Yeah..." I said. The man was about to run off but then Mike appeared and took a tight but discreet grip of his arm. "I don't think so flower," said Mike, "You're not going anywhere. What do you want me to do babes?" Mike asked me, "I can drag him behind the café and kneecap him if you want." "What!?" gasped the scared Doctor, as he looked over at the GRID soldiers looking as if he was getting ready to shout help. "Don't even think of calling for help you dirty little piggie," said Mike, "I'll rip your arm out of it's socket and beat you round the head with it before those boys in black over there have got a chance to put one foot in front of the other." "Oh my God," said a scared Doctor Jones, looking all terrified as his bottom lip quivered. "Look," I said to him, "No one's going to hurt you. I just want to know why you lied. Nikki's dead. She fell, banged her head, came back as an infected and we had to kill her. I know she wasn't pregnant. I know she was never pregnant. Why the Hell did you lie to me?" "Answer him, or I'll rip out your intestines and starting using them as a skipping rope before strangling you with them." "I'm scared," said Dr Jones. "Just answer the question," I firmly said. "It's Nikki," said Dr Jones, "She's scary... Well... She was scary... She got friendly with my pregnant other half at the Pilates class. She said if we didn't help her fake the pregnancy, she would tell people that I raped her and get me sacked from the hospital. Look, I'm really sorry. I really am but I honestly thought she would ruin my life. I need to be a Dad to be my baby. I don't know why but I believed her. I'm not even a Doctor. I just do cleaning at the hospital. She just made me pretend. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." "Let's kill him," said Mike, "I know a quiet place behind the old yachting club. A bit of wire, a couple of electrodes, a car battery and no questions asked, and I'll have all this sorted for you." "Oh God no," gasped the fake Doctor. I looked at him with a sympathetic expression. I then looked over at Naomi who was looking after Leo and Sophie and then looked back at the fake Doctor. I felt sorry for him. I didn't see him as some nasty vicious man, I saw him as another victim of Nikki's controlling and manipulative behaviour. "Look," I said to the fake Doctor, "Just forget it." "What?" he asked. "Yeah, WHAT?" gasped a shocked Mike. "Look, Dr Jones or whatever your name is, just go," I said, "Go on, get out of here. We'll say no more about it." The fake Doctor quickly ran off leaving me with a confused Mike. "Babes, what the f*ck was that all about?" he asked. "It's not his fault, Mike," I said, "It's Nikki's. She's to blame for all this, not that poor sod. She messed with his head like she messed with mine." Mike wasn't happy that he couldn't act on his urge to protect my honour and batter the fake Doctor, but Nikki's actions caused enough pain and suffering when she was alive, I certainly wasn't going to let her cause any more harm now she's dead.
Before going home, I spent a bit of time at Naomi's and Ash's. Naomi said she wanted us to start doing some baking. She said she used to bake when she was a kid and that after reading a few books recently she wanted to get back into it. I was just happy to do something that took my mind off my confrontation with the fake Doctor, and the fact that I had an up-and-coming uncomfortable conversation with Tinsley. Ash, Naomi and I went into the kitchen and we staretd baking. Sophie wated to see what we were up to so we had to keep an eye on her and keep her away from the oven but it was actually quite a lot of fun. I was surprised at how many useable ingredients Naomi had. Ash joined in but spent most of his time criticising my baking skills. "Go on then smart arse," I said, "You give it ago if you think you can do better than me." I tried to bake a cake but it came out all soggy and sunk in the middle, but Naomi's cake out looking quite impressive.
Still no sex between Naomi and I. every time I think I can make a move we end up kissing and cuddling.
