Entry 1151
Thursday 21st November 2019

I spoke to Mia today. She's still angry with me.

I went round to see her and just as I was about to knock on the door, it opened, and Tinsley appeared. He was being shown out by Harold, and it looked like the pair of them had just been talking. "Oh..." I said, sounding surprised. "No, need to look like you're about to sh*t your pants, Warm," said Tinsley, "You're in my good books right now. You helped us snare Blade." "Has he told you where the baby is?" I asked. "Not yet, but don't worry," said Tinsley, giving me a patronising pat on the shoulder, "I'll break him." "So... Err... What are you doing round here?" I asked Tinsley. "Well," said Tinsley with a weirdly cheery smile, "That's none of your f*cking business is it you scrawny piece of sh*t. Catch you all later." Tinsley left and I walked into the house and entered the living room giving Harold a firm look. "What was she doing here?" I assertively asked. "Well, like the man says," Harold smugly said, "It's none of your business, but if you really want to know, he came to see me.  Have you come to see me?" No, I've come to see Mia," I said, "Anyway why did Tinsley come to see you?" "He wanted to have a chat with me," said Harold, "Anyway, Mia doesn't want to see you." "I'll hear that from her not you," I said, "What did Tinsley want to talk to you about." "You really are a nosey little bird, aren't you?" said Harold, "If you must know he came to talk to me about starting work at GRID." "B*llocks!" I loudly exclaimed, "He won't have you working at GRID. The deal was that you were going to work there with the GRID scientists to develop a vaccine or a cure once the baby was found, but the baby hasn't been found, so don't expect me to believe that he wants you inside GRID HQ. This is just another one of your lies." "Ask Tinsley if you don't believe me," said Harold with a smirk on his face, "He seems to think it's a matter of time until we find the baby and he doesn't want me sitting in here twiddling my thumbs waiting until the baby is found... He wants me at GRID HQ helping the scientists try and develop a cure. He wants me to start tomorrow. I'll try and help those inferior GRID idiots develop a cure and when the baby is found I can try and develop a vaccine that will help control the E-Virus and hopefully reduce symptoms. You never know. I might be able to develop something which lengthens the amount of time it takes for a person to turn into an infected once they're bitten. I think I might be able to turn twenty seconds into twenty minutes once the baby is found." "You've no way of knowing that" I said, "Anyway, did you say tomorrow? Tinsley's going to have you... YOU, inside GRID HQ starting tomorrow?" "That's right," said Harold, "Funny how things turn out isn't it?" "Tinsley must be off his head letting you inside GRID HQ," I said. "Don't worry," said Harold, "He'll keep me under close supervision. There'll probably be armed soldiers watching my every move." "Yeah, well I know how slippery you can be," I said, "You should be back in prison. In fact, why the Hell aren't you in prison!? Nothing's changed." "Oh, Luke," said Harold, "I know you're a bit stupid, but even you must see how much thigs have changed. There's a baby somewhere on this island that I can use to try and develop a cure." "That baby is your granddaughter," I said. "Yes, I know that Luke," said Harold, "But it's the knowledge needed to conduct tests on my granddaughter that will help us develop a vaccine and possibly a cure, it's the type of knowledge that only I have. I have become useful and essential- very useful and very essential and Tinsley knows that. That's why things have changed and that's why Tinsley needs me, and he knows it. I've got more scientific knowledge in my head than all of those GRID scientists put together."

At that moment Mia came downstairs and appeared in the living room door way. She looked exhausted. I abandoned my discussion with Harold and focused on Mia. "Mia," I said. "What's he doing here?" Mia asked Harold. "I told him you didn't want to see him," said Harold. "Mia," I said, "Please. Can we just talk?" "No," Mia firmly said, "I don't want to talk to you, I don't want to listen to you, I don't even want to look at you. My daughter is out there somewhere all alone because of you!" "No, it's because of Blade!" I angrily snapped, "He kidnapped your daughter, not me! Anyway, he might have left your baby with someone. He said she was safe." "Oh, Luke just go home," said Mia, dismissing me. "Mia," I said, "We should be supporting each other not having a go at each other." "Supporting each other!?" exclaimed Mia, "I'm the one who needs support. Not you! Look at me. I haven't slept. I haven't eaten. I feel terrible, I look like cr*p and I'm worried sick." "Then let's go out there and search the island," I said, "We can look for your daughter together." "And where exactly will you start looking Luke?" asked Harold, "Somewhere in the north? Somewhere in the south?" I gave Harold a furious stare, signalling that he should shut up. "Just go away, Luke," said Mia, "I don't want you here right now." Mia turned around and went back upstairs leaving me feeling sad and deflated. "Oh, dear," said Harold, "I think..." "I THINK," I angrily said interrupting Harold, "You should keep your mouth shut or I might send my mate Mike round here who will shut it for you." I turned round and walked out if the house feeling stressed and fed up.

I went round to Naomi's, and we had a good chat. She gave me a cuddle and provided me with some reassurance. I love her so much. At least I know that when it feels like the whole world is against me Naomi is there for me.

I just hope that Mia's baby turns up soon... Not just so that Mia can see her daughter, but also so the baby can be taken to GRID to help us develop a cure and vaccine, and so that me and Mia can start to sort things out between us. Until the baby turns up, I think Mia's going to stay mad at me (which Harold loves!) but then again, she might still stay mad with me when (or IF) the baby is found. I've been racking my brains and I just can't think where the baby could be or what Blade might have done with her, and the more I think about it the angrier I am with Blade. I hope Tinsley gets some useful information out of him sooner or later.
