Entry 1120
Monday 21st October 2019

Well, Tinsley final made an announcement, I caught up with Sci-Fi Cyn, Trudy gave us an update on what she found out from Helen, and we all finally got to the bottom of why we were evacuated to the bunkers the day before yesterday.

The day started when I was stood in the kitchen talking to Mum over a cup of tea when suddenly Tinsley's deep voice started bellowing across the island as it emanated from the island's public address system. "Attention," Tinsley aggressively announced, "Attention. This is Commander Richard Tinsley from The Global Response to International Disaster. Mum and I placed our cups of tea on the kitchen counter and ran into the living room and made our way to the front door. "What's going on?" asked Auntie Meryl, "I can hear a voice? Have I died? Is it the voice of God?" "It's Tinsley," I said, opening the front door so I could hear the announcement more clearly, "He's making an announcement." "Tinsley?" said Auntie Meryl, "What's a Tinsley?" "Oh, just shush," Mum snapped at Auntie Meryl. "Don't tell me to shush you old slag," snapped Auntie Meryl. "Both of you shut up!" I loudly snapped, "I'm trying to listen!" "Now I'm sure you've all got lots of questions about why you were evacuated to the bunkers," Tinsley announced with fury in his voice, "So I'll make this quick. You can blame your former commander and chief Jon Blade. That pussy assed mother f*cker is a weak, spineless, coward, and a hypocrite. For months he said that all infected should be killed, and it may surprise you all to know that all the time he was spouting that self-righteous bull, he himself had his own infected partner chained up with another putrid infected f*cker in a secret underground room beneath GRID HQ. Jon Blade is not only a hypocrite, but also a liar. He's been lying to you all from the start. He told you that your safety was his number one priority but all the time he hid infected people, jeopardising your safety and expecting you all to live up to a rule that he blatantly disregarded. Whilst Jon Blade was telling you to kill members of your own family who became infected, he was hiding a member of his own family who was infected deep underground. This man is not fit to command respect, lead soldiers, or keep you safe. The day before yesterday the two infected people that Jon Blade had hidden underground got free. We don't know how. An investigation into the matter is currently underway, but it is because of the irresponsible actions that two infected were chained up beneath GRID HQ in the first place and it is because of Jon Blade that these two infected people got free, attacked GRID staff, and resulted in the deaths of many good people. The blame for this recent outbreak lies solely with Jon Blade. As soon as we became aware of the outbreak, we shut down GRID HQ as quickly as we could so we could isolate the problem. The infection spread and 98 GRID staff and soldiers were killed. Those who came into contact with the infected, but who themselves weren't infected have been in quarantine for 24 hours. The situation is now over, and safety has been restored, and all infected have been killed. After conduction of an investigation, I have also found out that Jon Blade was responsible for the explosion that destroyed the town of Ryde and killed hundreds of people. Through this man's embarrassing f*cking incompetence he gave a GRID iPad to a pensioner believing it was a standard iPad. The GRID iPad had software installed that would blow up the populated areas of the island. This pensioner unwittingly activated the software causing the town of Ryde to be completely blown up. There was no gas explosion in Ryde. This is another secret Jon Blade kept from you all. Under each populated area of the island were bombs, bombs that can be detonated remotely and destroying the town above. According to intelligence, these bombs were placed under each populated area of the island by Jon Blade in secret, and they were to be detonated in case of an outbreak that was so severe, it would be deemed best to blow up the populated areas of the island. Jon Blade kept this from you. I have been told that all bombs under each populated area of the island are now de-activated. You are all now safe. My investigation has also shown that Jon Blade was involved in conspiring with the late Catherine Rennison who kidnaped and killed a number of islanders including journalist Katie Shortman and proceeded to feed them to her infected husband. Blade conspired with Catherine Rennison because she knew he was harbouring infected underground and he wanted his secret to be kept intact. Jon Blade also told you that he and GRID were responsible for stopping the nukes that were going to be activated on Friday 21st September 2018 by ACROBAT, those responsible for engineering the virus. This was a lie. No one at GRID stopped the world from being nuke. It was Tara Kate, a mercenary from ACROBAT who wanted to sell the virus – she stopped the world from being nuked to give her more time to acquire the real version of the virus because she discovered she had a fake version. Whilst you were all in the underground bunkers, with no idea of what the Hell was going on, this woman, an evil woman, did something that saved your lives. She didn't save your lives because she cares about you. She stopped the nukes and saved your lives for her own selfish reasons and luckily her actions meant the world nukes could never be initiated again, but the point here is that Jon Blade lied to you and told you he and GRID stopped the nukes. He lied. So... Jon Blade told you to kill infected whilst hiding his own infected partner. Jon Blade conspired with a murderer who killed people to keep his dirty little secret. Jon Blade's incompetence resulted in the town of Ryde being blown up resulting in the deaths of over a thousand people, and Jon Blade lied and said he and GRID were responsible for stopping the world nukes. He. Lied. Do these sound like the actions of a man who is concerned with your safety? Due to Jon Blade's conduct, I am no longer ACTING Commander, I am now permanent Commander. If Jon Blade returns to the island he will be held in The Isle of White Prison until I decide a suitable punishment, and if he – if ANYONE, tries to give me any sh*t I will squash them, like a swatter squashes flies. That is all." The announcement then stopped, and I turned and looked at Mum and Auntie Meryl. "Can you believe that!?" I gasped. "I know," said Auntie Meryl, "It's shocking, isn't it?" "You can say that again," I said. "I mean everyone knows you don't use a swatter to kill flies," said Auntie Meryl, "That makes a right mess. You need to use fly spray." "Auntie Meryl, that's not what I'm outraged at," I said, "I can't believe there's been an outbreak and he's only just told us, and I REALLY can't believe he's got the audacity to talk about safety and being a good leader. All he does is shout at people, have a go at them and chuck people into The Hive for stealing and then watches them get eaten. Blade wasn't perfect but he's a better bl**dy leader than Tinsley." "I think I'd let both of them shag me up the wring one," said Mum. "Oh God," I snapped, "One... Ugh, that's disgusting, and two... We've just found out there's been an outbreak and that 98 people have been killed. Do you think you can stop thinking about your promiscuous sex life for two minutes!" "It was her, wasn't it?" said Mum, pointing at Auntie Meryl, "Blade gave her an iPad. He was trying to take it off her. That silly cow there is responsible for blowing up Ryde." "You what?" said Auntie Meryl. "Mum. Leave it," I firmly said. "No, I won't bl**dy leave it," said an angry Mum, "That mad old bint blew up Ryde." "It was an accident," I firmly said, "You need to blame Blade, not Auntie Meryl." Mum looked at me and frowned with confusion. "You knew about this didn't you?" said Mum. The guilt on my face was obvious. "Oh my God!" gasped Mum, "You did know didn't you! Did you know!" "Yes!" I loudly snapped, "I knew everything! OK! I knew the lot! I knew it was Tara who stopped the world nukes, I knew about the infected being hidden under GRID HQ, I knew how Ryde really got blown up and I knew about, and I knew about Catherine killing Katie Shortman. I knew, Naomi knew, Roz knew, Trudy knew, Mike knew, Sci-Fi Cyn knew, Helene Harvey." "What!?" gasped Mum. "It's complicated," I said." Complicated!" exclaimed Mum, "That Catherine b*tch nearly killed me!" "Yeah, but she didn't, did she," I said, "Catherine's dead, and you're alive." "I don't believe this," gasped Mum, "Ten minutes ago I was having a cup of tea and now I'm stood here with the knowledge that my son's been lying to me, my friends have been keeping secrets from me, Tara not Blade stopped the world from being nuked and my batty old sister-in-law blew up the town of Ryde. MY GOD!" "Mum, just calm down," I said, "And keep this to yourself. No one is supposed to know." "What do you mean no one's supposed to know!" Mum loudly exclaimed, "The entire f*cking island now knows!" "I'm on about people knowing that me and the others knew about all of this," I said, "If Tinsley finds out that me and the others knew..." "Yes, yes, yes," said Mum, "I can keep my mouth shut. I just can't believe this!" "I'm confused," said Auntie Meryl, "What's going on? Did I blow up Ryde?" I sat next to Auntie Meryl, held her hands and gave her a serious look. "Auntie Meryl," I firmly but sensitively said, "You have done nothing wrong." "Yes, she f*cking has!" Mum exclaimed, "She blew up a town!" "MUM SHUT UP!" I loudly shouted. I returned to Auntie Meryl and started rubbing her hands. "Look," I calmly said, "You are not responsible for what happened in Ryde. It was Jon Blade's fault. It's all his fault, and Jon knows that. You've done nothing wrong." "But if I pressed something on that other eye patch and all those people got killed," said Auntie Meryl. "Just stop right there," I said, "You've done absolutely nothing wrong." I did what I could to reassure Auntie Meryl, and it was heart-breaking to see how upset she was. I told her and Mum that only a few of us knew about Auntie Meryl and that none of us would dob her in to Tinsley. I managed to calm her down, but I could tell she was still worried.
