Entry 1065
Tuesday 27th August 2019Still no change.
Mike and Sci-Fi Cyn came to see me today. They brought me some food and more tea to make sure I was keeping my strength up. I thanked them for looking after me, but apart from that I didn't really say much else. I just kept looking at Auntie Meryl's pale, bruised and withered face hoping that she wasn't going to die.
A few other people came to see Auntie Meryl in the afternoon, but I was in such a daze, I can't even remember who they were. I think I remember seeing a glimpse of Trudy, and I vaguely remember hearing Roz say something, but my head is all over the place. I was focusing on Auntie Meryl, not who else was or wasn't in the room. In fact, I haven't really spoken much to anyone today – not even to Naomi. I've just spent most of the day sitting next to Auntie Meryl telling her how much I love her, how much I want her to wake up, and how I remember all of the funny things she used to do and say to me when I was a kid; the time she got the hose out and sprayed water on the kids who were bullying me, the time she told my maths teacher Mr Giles that he had a face like the Elephant Man and the smell of someone who lived with a lot of cats, the time she told that woman who said I was the worst paper boy she'd ever had that she had the worst face and the ugliest set of teeth she'd ever seen. It was nice to laugh and go over some fond memories.
I just want her to wake up, so much...
