Nikki wants us to move in together and leave Cowes!

The conversation started after we were walking down along the Cowes seafront with Leo, and we saw Ash, Naomi and Sophie in the distance, they were walking towards us. "Oh, for God's sake," said Nikki, rolling her eyes, "That b*tch is everywhere we go. It's like she's following us." "It's OK," I said, "Let's just ignore them. Come on, we'll go back home." "No," said an angry Nikki, "Why should we leave? We haven't done anything wrong. We're taking Leo for a walk. They should leave." "Nikki," I said, "We all live really close to each other. We're bound to bump into each other every now and then. We need to find a way to be civil." "It sounds like you want to be best friends with her," snapped Nikki. "It doesn't sound like that at all," I said. "Oh, so you're saying I'm lying?" snapped Nikki, "Are you saying I'm some sort of mad woman?" "What are you on about?" I said, "I'm not saying that at all. I just think there's been enough trouble lately, so if we can't deal with it when it comes our way by being civil and polite, we should avoid it." I turned round and started to push Leo in his pushchair in the opposite direction – back the way we came. Nikki followed but she wasn't happy. "My God," she angrily said, as she walked beside me, "And you call yourself a man. That cow sent her brother to come and attack you yesterday." "Nikki," I said, "We don't know that she sent Ash to come and see me, and he came to talk to me not to attack me." "I bet she did send him," snapped Nikki, "And he might not have attacked you physically, but he attacked you and me verbally." "We agreed that we were going to look to the future and forget about Ash and I Naomi," I said. "Yes, but it's difficult to do that when we bump into them everywhere we go," snapped Nikki.

As we walked back into Cowes town centre and made our way down the High Street, we bumped into someone else... Debbie Rennison; the woman who taught us how to secure and quarantine infected, [Entry 957] and the Mum of Catherine who I used to shag when I was working at Sainsbury's. She literally bumped into Leo's pushchair, so once we'd exchanged apologies and she realised it was me and I realised it was her, we exchanged shocked and uncomfortable looks. "Oh," said Nikki, "It's the woman who ran the class a few weeks ago." "Yeah..." I said, feeling rather uncomfortable and not knowing what to say. "How are you?" Debbie asked in a reluctant tone of voice. "Not bad," I said, in an equally reluctant tone, "You?" "Well, do you really care?" asked Debbie. "Not really," I bluntly said, "I'm just making conversation." "Luke!" exclaimed Nikki, "That's really rude." "Really rude!?" I exclaimed, "Her daughter killed all those people and tried to kill my Mum." "Oh..." said Nikki, looking embarrassed, "Yes. Of course. Sorry. I forgot." "Catherine might have made some mistakes," snapped Debbie, "But that didn't stop you from having sex with her, did it?" "I didn't know she was a psycho murderer when we were shagging each other," I snapped. "Luke is with me now," said Nikki, firmly grabbing hold of my hand, "Your daughter is in the past." "You two are a couple!?" exclaimed Debbie with a hint of laughter. "Yes!" snapped Nikki, "What's it got to do with you?" "Look, Debbie," I said, "I'm sorry that Catherine's dead. I'm a parent and I know how I'd feel if anything happened to my son, so I really am sorry for your loss but she killed people. She was a murderer." "Don't call her that!" snapped Debbie, "She wasn't a murderer. She just made a few mistakes." "A few mistakes!?" I exclaimed, "A few mistakes!? Making a few mistakes is when Kids make a few spelling errors when they're doing a test, not kidnapping people, chopping them up and feeding them to your infected husband." "You've never lost a child in the way in which I lost Catherine," snapped Debbie, "She's dead because of you and I'll never forgive you." "Oh, shut up," snapped Nikki, "She's dead because she was a mad killer." "You weren't even on speaking terms with her," I said. "That doesn't matter," said Debbie, "She was still my daughter. One day you'll know the pain of someone taking away someone you love, and when you go through that painful experience, I hope it hurts you as much as losing Catherine hurts me." Debbie then stormed off. "Crazy b*tch," said Nikki, "Don't let her get to you babes. It's not your fault her daughter was a psycho killer." I was annoyed at Debbie's comments but not too bothered by them. She's still grieving and can't handle the fact that her daughter was a killer.
