Entry 1115
Wednesday 16th October 2019Another quiet day.
Nothing much to report.
I cleaned the back of the kitchen cupboards today, and found something interesting. It was a wrinkled-up photograph of a man, woman, and two kids sat on the sofa in our living room. It looked like it had been taken a few years ago. Maybe they were the family that used to love the house before me, Mum, Leo and Auntie Meryl. No idea where they all are now. Maybe they're dead. Maybe they left the island and went to the mainland like many other islanders did at the start of the outbreak. I felt a bit sad looking at the picture. I suddenly felt like Mum, Leo, Auntie Meryl and I were squatting and intruding in someone else's house, a family's home. I also found an old corkscrew in the shape of a penis. That's about as interesting as my day got.
I stayed over at Naomi's last night. Still no sex. I know she said it IS going to happen, and that the best things are worth waiting for, but I can't help wondering how long I'm going to be waiting for. I don't want to keep bringing it up because I don't want Naomi to feel pressured, but at the same time I don't want to be in a long-term sex-less relationship.
I start at the prison tomorrow. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I supposed I'm still p*ssed off that I have to work in The Hive one day a week. Naomi keeps telling me to stop being so negative but when you're a cleaner in a prison, have to travel miles to get to your other sh*tty job, live with your annoying Mother and your irritating Auntie and are in a sex-less relationship, it's hard not to feel negative.
Let's how it goes starting work at the prison tomorrow.
