*gulp*
We both swallowed our bites of the devil fruit. I choked back a gag, expecting how putrid the fruit would be, but Chodely took a second, gagging with his hand over his mouth to try and keep it down. It was like eating the most rancid fruit you've ever laid eyes on.
Once we got our composure, we turned to the arch other. Glaring. Waiting to feel different. Waiting for something to change. Waiting for that shift in reality to occur. Chodely smirked, confidence brimming from his as wind began to form around us.

Luffy grabbed his hat as wind powerful enough to drag him across the ground ripped through the alley. He squinted as it blasted him back, gritting his teeth as he stared at the pair. All he could see was Misaki's back as the wind whipped her hair and scarf around wildly. He smirked a little when he saw it again. Just like on the bird, his heart skipped a beat as the red felt peaked out from under her blue scarf.
Zoro threw the tip of his blade into the ground as he stared at Misaki and the man he had only ever heard about. He couldn't help but notice how firmly they both stood. It was like the wind tunnel had created a vortex around them. Neither side wavered as they glared at each other. Despite her small stature, Misaki's presence was bigger than life itself in that moment.
Chodely's eyes narrowed as the wind gusted between them and around them. Her red scarf that she found so precious — the one that represented strawhat's love — the one that she clung to, even when she was unconscious and being abducted — was now fully visible. I should have known she was just hiding it.
The wind gusted around harder as Misaki's eyes darkened. He couldn't tell if it was the wind or her presence alone, but his knees felt like they were going to give out any moment. Her eyes pierced right through him, her hair whipping around almost menacingly.
I ate the damn devil fruit. Why didn't anything happen? Do they really not work with people like us? Like I thought? Was it a dud? Or... Misaki's eyes narrowed, gripping his heart with a debilitating fear as he dropped to one knee. Her mere glare was enough to make him feel weak. He knew she could use haki, but..."No way." Luffy muttered, staring at Misaki.
"If looks could kill." Zoro said, unable to look away as she lifted up her hand.
"I..." she began.

I clenched my fist for a moment as I stared at the deplorable man in front of me. Taking a deep breath in, I raised my hand toward him. He looked so pitiful, on his knee like that. I closed my eyes for a moment.
