"FIRE!"

Fuck. My reflexes have already slowed down. By the time I started moving, Zoro was already in front of me, deflecting bullets. Kramer used his fruit ability to disappear Chodely and redirect the bullets aimed at him, sending them back at the army. And Luffy... wait... where the Hell is Luffy?! I looked back toward the house, wondering where he could have gone until I realized... he was moving so fast, I couldn't see him, stopping just short of Appa before ballooning up to protect him from the shower of bullets coming his way.

"Fuck, APPA!" I yelled, turning on my heel.

"Misaki NO! Stay behind me!" Zoro sniped. I looked back at him, trying to curb my thoughts from thinking about how he looked in this reality.

"Luffy should be on the front line!" I argued.

"Your reflexes are shit here, whether you can use the devil fruit or not!" Zoro growled as he continued to deflect hundreds of bullets. "You need to stay BEHIND ME — fuck MISAKI WAIT!"

I gotta get there. I gotta — FUCK! I ducked, throwing a hand out as a bullet whizzed past my head. I could feel that prickle at the back of my neck, telling me I needed to jump — no twist, no duck, and Fuck fuck fuck — I stumbled forward, throwing out my hands as I fell toward the ground. A gust of wind sprang from my hands, ricocheting me back onto my feet. My eyes widened. YES. IT WORKS.

I took a deep breath and spun around, exhaling as I threw my hands and kicked my feet out at the same time, sending a powerful vortex of wind toward the raining bullets while simultaneously propelling myself back into Luffy. I bounced into him before he deflated and snatched me.

"Gotcha." He said, grinning at me as he deflected another bullet.

Appa was starting to panic, running and rearing as Luffy set me down to rocket away more bullets. I whistled at Appa and he whinnied back. Fighting every urge to keep running, he ran back to me. Kramer suddenly appeared in front of me, handing me a halter before disappearing back to the front line. I quickly haltered him and then threw up a barrier of wind, slowing down the bullets until they sat uselessly at my feet. Appa snorted, dancing in place nervously as I tried to defend him with all my might.

"Is anybody inside?" I yelled at Luffy, barely able to hear over the chaos as Zoro began breaking through the front line like a demon on steroids.

"I dunno!" Luffy said, turning towards the house.

"Wait!" I snapped. "We need you up front! See if Kramer can do it!"

Luffy clenched his jaw. I knew how hard it was to just pass along that part to someone else. I wanted to do it too. But this was war, and we needed help weathering the storm.

Just then, a shower of harpoons were launched at us. Luffy's eyes narrowed as he stared at me, refusing to turn toward the danger that was heading toward us. I took a deep breath and slammed my fists together, creating a ball of wind that enveloped around all of us, with such intense force that it completely blew back the harpoons. Luffy grinned.

"Badass." He said, looking back at the sheer number of people we were facing. "Alright. I'm gonna get him. Keep Appa safe. Maybe Kramer can move him somewhere for now too."

And just like that, Luffy disappeared, raging back to the front line. A chilling pressure filled the air, and I watched as more than half of the men dropped from nothing more than conqueror's haki.

"Heyo!" Kramer said from behind me, making me jump. He was hanging upside down from one of his portals, grinning at me confidently. "We gotta move this cutie outside the crossfire."
