I entered Danse's quarters on the Prydwen. He stood with his back to me, in the doorway of his closet. He held up a plain white t-shirt, put it on its hanger, and repeated the process with his other shirts. I closed the door quietly, moving to stand behind him. Whenever he was hanging up a shirt, I'd take one from the pile. He 'finished' and I had a pile of clothes in my arms.

He finally turned around and saw me. He sighed with a small smile, and began hanging the shirts piled up in my arms. I grinned and he smiled a little, "Do you know what Arthur would do to us if he saw you in here? What he'd do to me?"

"I don't get what the big deal is." I stared up at him. He was in his Brotherhood suit, but had his hood sitting on his dresser. I stared at him, "I don't know why you hide your hair under that stupid hood."

"Because the outfit has to... well, I don't really know, but I have to wear it because... because it's... it's dress code, okay?"

I grinned. In my eyes, nothing was funnier than Danse being confused. He hung up the last shirt as someone knocked on the door. He looked nervously to me, "Who is it?"

A gruff voice replied, "This is Elder Maxson. I'd like to have a word with you, regarding matters of your holding position at Cambridge."

Danse gently, but quickly, pushed me behind him, and stood in the doorway of his closet. It would be impossible to see me from the doorway due to his broad frame and the darkness the closet provided. I stayed silent as Danse shouted for Elder Maxson to enter. The man did so, then shut the door. Arthur stood, chest swollen with its usual arrogant pride, "We need to speak about the matter concerning your men stationed at Cambridge." He went into a long, boring discussion with Danse about protocol and needing more men standing at arms and whatever.

I looked at the zipper at the top of Danse's back and grinned a little. I held the zipper between my fingers, and carefully, and quietly, unzipped it. Danse immediately tensed up, then cleared his throat, "But sir, we were undermanned at the moment. Not to mention we had two teams out scouting." I unzipped it all the way to his waist. He gripped the frame of the door with white knuckles.

I put my palms on his back, tracing his tattoo of the Brotherhood's symbol between his shoulder blades. He shivered. Arthur glared at him, "Are you alright, Paladin? You look ill."

Danse cleared his throat, but his voice cracked anyways, "I'm fine, sir. Really. I just... I just need some rest."

Elder Maxson glared, "Remember what I told you about posture?"

Danse quoted the Elder, "If you want to earn respect, you have to keep your back erect."

I nearly snorted with laughter as Maxson gave an approving nod, "Alright. We'll continue this discussion tomorrow." Maxson left, and Danse turned around to face me. His cheeks were flushed pink. His mouth frowned slightly, but not angrily. I smiled. He looked towards the door, then back at me, "Why?"

I smiled, "Because", I snickered, "Your back wasn't erect."

He turned into a flustered mess, trying to rezip his outfit. I turned him around, "Relax, I got it... You'd think a big strong man like yourself could at least zip a zipper..."

I put my hands on his back, and then slid them around under his top, hugging him. It must have been funny to see. He was a tower of muscles over me. He took his arms out, leaving him shirtless, with the fabric still attached to his legs. He sighed and peeled me off of him. I watched him as he turned off the light, lay down, and pulled me to sleep with him.
