First impressions: (ex. Cover, Blurb, Title)
-The cover is attention grabbing, though it is peculiar how some of the letters are in white and some are black.
-The blurb can have a little more clarity, as it was difficult to grasp the idea of the story.
-The title is a good title for this genre.
Mechanics (Grammar, sentence structure, etc)
There are no distracting grammar mistakes.
Plot:
-The plot was a little confusing at times, perhaps there was a lot of adjectives that took away from the events a little.
-The dialogue is good, it flows well and has an appropriate tone.
-It is a challenge to keep all the names and ideas straight, as a lot of information is introduced at the same time. There seems to be a lot of magical concepts in this universe, so maybe taking more time for the reader to understand might increase the ability to follow along.
Characters:
-Like mentioned, there are a lot of details and characters being introduced at this point, so developing connections or a sense of who they are is difficult, specifically the side-characters.
Overall, there are good ideas and room to explore this world. Wishing you the best on your writing!
