First Impressions (Cover, blurb, title)
-Cover: The cover is striking and appealing, however there is not the author's name on it. Nothing wrong with that, just pointing it out.
-Blurb: The blurb seemed to cover all the essentials.
-Title: The title is very appropriate to the mood and plotline.
Mechanics (Grammar, sentence structure, etc.)
-There wasn't anything that stood out as difficult to read.
Plot:
-The first chapter takes quite the turn, it has a good contrast with her lifestyle. There are a lot of storytelling elements present that are executed well, including artistic language and action scenes.
Character:
-Her character seems interesting and has a good, strong mindset.
-The Prince's character seems alright so far, but his attitude was a little confusing at first. He comes off arrogant and suave as he applauds her 'performance,' but then he 'angrily growled' about his incompetent guard not too long after. It's understood that sometimes characters are inconsistent themselves, but this seemed a little out of character. But if that was intended, perhaps it can be mentioned as strange or contrasting to a previous understanding of who this person is.
This story is off to a great start. There are a lot of elements that are done well, and the pacing is just right. Best wishes!
