First Impressions (ex. Cover, Blurb, Title)

- Cover: The cover is eye catching and for the most part legible. However, it is hard to read the reviews at the top.

- Title: The title seems appropriate for the story

- Blurb: The blurb addresses a lot of good points, but it also reveals the 'higher meaning' of your story, which should be picked up by the reader as they read, not explicitly stated by the author.

Perhaps keep the awards to after the blurb, as before the blurb the awards take away from the blurb and the story.

Mechanics (Grammar, sentence structure, etc)

- There are no obvious grammar issues.

-The descriptions are thorough and thoughtful.

Plot:

-There were many situations where there was so much torture that it lost the sense of the plot.

-The misunderstood monster is a great concept.

Characters:

- The "Ripper" was a good character, the thought processes made sense.

- Something to maybe keep in mind is that it can become odd when the dinosaur is very philosophical.

Excellent ideas and good descriptions, but it would perhaps benefit from less lengthy torture scenes and instead more character and plot development. Wishing you luck in your writing journey!
