Chapter 179

"Taehyung!"

Everyone yelled in an instant listening to Taehyung's words while Jungkook just gazed at him with sadness and shock.

"I said what I said. He is spoilt and he needs to own up to his mistakes"

Others tried to talk Taehyung out of it but Taehyung hadade up his mind. He abruptly got up from the couch and his gaze lingered on Jungkook for a second.

"Come to your room and pack your bags. I will be there to help you out"

Taehyung uttered and walked towards Jungkook's room. His each step filled with guilt of what he uttered minutes ago. He wasn't ready to give up on Jungkook so easily but beating him in the name of punishment was enough either. He needed to learn so that he doesn't ends up like himself, craving for one love filled gesture. Jungkook needed to be independent and this was the exact way to teach him.

As Taehyung's words lasted Jungkook's sobs broke out. He was inconsolable. He felt abandoned by his very own strict yet famous hyung.

Others nuzzled around him, hoping to provide comfort as Jungkook cried openly and let his tears be the medium for his pain.

Taehyung wasn't the best either. He was controlling himself to be strong, to not break down. After all, he was sending his baby fat away from him for a month.

He waited and waited but there was no sign of Jungkook. Taehyung rushed downstairs in worry, to find Jungkook surrounded by all his other hyungs and him wailing at the thought of going away from him.

"Jungkook"

Taehyung called out with worry and a bit stern but all he recieved was loud cries.

"Taehyung, just leave. We won't send him away. He will stay with us."

Jin declared but Taehyung heard none of it except the first part. 'Leave', His hyung asked him to leave but how could he?

Yoongi gazed at Taehyung's expression and couldn't help dwell in his own trauma. Jin wasn't letting Jungkook go away from them as per the punishment then how was he keen to send him to Jason? Each time he crossed limits, Jin would threaten to ship him off to Jason but this time, he wasn't ready to send Jungkook off?

He snapped off of it when he observed how Taehyung's eyes filled with tears but a second later Taehyung took a breath and steadied himself. Was this how Taehyung fooled them each time, into thinking that he was fine?

Yoongi's thoughts resonated back to Jimins' for the second time and he knew why Jimin never left Taehyung's side ever.

Taehyung walked towards the group, oblivious to Yoongi's eyes and reached towards Jungkook.

Jimin caught his hand and shook his head. He pulled Taehyung a bit away from them making him leave Jungkook's hold and glared at the younger,

"Tae, I have supported you in everything, but don't do this. For him as well as for yourself and for us too.."

Yoongi who was watching the duo, wondered what Jimin meant by, for himself too. Keeping it to himself he stayed silent, trying to understand the message he was in.

"Hyung, please trust me. I want what is good for him. I won't send him away somewhere without researching or making sure that the place is safe, I just want to talk to him once, alone"

Taehyung explained, unbelievably his voice steady. Yoongi was new to all this and Taehyung's stability over his emotions was driving Yoongi crazy.

He could clearly analyse that Taehyung was winning the argument and that was proved when Taehyung left Jimin and walked towards Jungkook.

"Tae, stop. No"

This time it was Namjoon. Namjoon was all stable now and he was thinking of resuming work soon. Taehyung sighed and took a breather to calm himself again.

"Hyung, please trust me. I won't do anything that would harm him"

Namjoon wasn't sure of what to do and he unwillingly shifted his gaze from Taehyung to Jungkook.

"Taehyung stop right there. Didn't you hear Jin hyung? He asked you to go away then do so. Leave from here, you are just scaring Jungkook"

Hoseok spoke without realising that Taehyung was also hurt. Taehyung was also his brother and his words were too sharp for anyone's liking.

Taehyung flashed a small smile, just like other times and made his way towards Jungkook. He was held back from Jin, but he still struggled further and held Jungkook's hand.

He then kneeled down in front of Jungkook and softly wiped his tears. He cupped Jungkook's face and made him look at himself.

"Stop crying bubba. Hyung is right here"

Taehyung whispered just enough for them to listen. And Jungkook did listen, his hyungs touch guarding him and he was trying his best to stop crying. Taehyung smiled once again at the younger's attempt while others remained shocked. How? How was Taehyung able to calm him down just like that?

"Now, will you come with hyung? Hyung has something to discuss with you"

Taehyung spoke and carried Jungkook to his room. He settled Jungkook on the bed and wiped his face.

"Why did you bully him?"

Taehyung questioned and Jungkook looked down and shook his gaze away.

"Bubba, won't you trust your Tata hyung?" Come on bub, tell hyung, why did you bully him?"

And that was all it needed for Jungkook to utter out the truth.

"I was j... jelly"

Jungkook admitted and looked away as Taehyung was confused. Jelly? Jealous of what?

"What was my bunny jelly of?"

Taehyung asked, voice calm and composed and filled with love.

"Of....of his f...family"

Jungkook uttered. The truth was finally out, the actual truth. And Jungkook looked at Taehyung to find something but all he found was a confused and worried expression.

"H...he has a caring f...family. H...his mother packs h...him l...lunch and give c..cute little notes with it. H..his father..always drops and picks him up....."

Also, I had read this once that the characters in the book write their own story and the author is just a medium to that. Hadn't understood that before but now I did. As an author I wanted to send Jungkook away but as a charcter of Taehyung, he didn't let me send him away!
