Wanda was a wreck this year. She'd just lost her twin brother a month back and this would be her first Christmas without him. His would she ever manage to cope with this?

She's locked herself in her bedroom and was sat on the windowsill with her legs dangling out of the room. She did this frequently because everyone knows if she falls she can catch herself with her magical powers. So she didn't really care. Not anymore. She'd lost the most important person in her life and nothing mattered to her anymore.

Tears rolled down her face as she reminisced on the memories she had with Pietro. That brave, idiotic, twelve minute older brother. Oh, how she wished it was her and not him.
Each time I remember the day you went away
And how I would listen to the things you had to say
I just break down as I look around
And the only things I see
Are emptiness and loneliness
And an unlit Christmas tree
This was true. She was always breaking down these days. But could you really blame her? She'd lost it all. Her other half.

She remembered last year. Pietro had come over and they snuggled watching movies with hot chocolate. She'd never felt so warm and happy, but had she known that was their last Christmas together, she'd have done so much more. Life was too short.
She got up and walked downstairs, where Tony took her into a tight hug. He could tell how hurt she was.

We never thought there'd be an end
And I remember looking at you then
And I remember thinking that Christmas

'Cause darling, this is the time of year

When it means so very, very much
"It's alright. I know you miss him, but we're all here for you, whatever you need, love. Don't hide away, we'll look after you now, until you're back with him," Tony said softly so no one else could hear him.
"Thanks, T," she whispered, burying into his chest as tears rolled down her face. He just held her tightly.

The others noticed them hugging and all joined in, reassuring her that she's alright and they're there for her. Because they were.
They're her family now, and she soon learned to depend on them.
