The day went on. Despite a slight sadness in the air, the crew managed to keep the energy going. For what could be one of the last times with Jean, everybody sat down in the dining room for dinner.
To say the crew was rowdy was an understatement. From ravenously downing everything in front of them, to trying to protect their food from Luffy, they laughed, and joked, and snapped at each other like any other day.
"Oi! Momma J!" Luffy said, swallowing the last of his food. "If we pass any islands on the way to Zou, should we stop?"
"Only if it's pretty." Jean said, shooting Luffy a wink. He wondered why everybody kept doing that. "But sure!"
"Pretty like the crystal cave!" Nami said, raising an eyebrow.
"I really liked that crystal cave. I doubt we'll pass the same island twice with the way Zunesha moves around, but it would be cool to see it again!" Misaki said.
"I don't get it. That's the second time I've heard you guys talking about the crystal cave." Luffy said, tilting his head. "When I asked if you wanted to go back there, M', you said no, didn't you?"
"Well... oh... I mean..." Misaki said, looking a little uncomfortable. "The only reason I said no was because of... you know..."
"Hm?" Luffy hummed, snagging another bite of food from someone else's plate.
"Luffy!" Nami chided.
"What?!" He said, scratching his cheek.
"Dummy!" Usopp said, shaking his head. "She only said no because she was being blackmailed!"
"Oh!" Luffy chimed. "Oh yeah!"
All he had been thinking about was how he invited her and she said no. He remembered he wanted to bring her back there to... oh... Suddenly, he realized why Nami and Momma J kept bringing up the crystal cave. A pit formed in his stomach — a bundle of nerves that was as heavy as a cannonball. He could feel sweat pricking at his skin, and he could feel a wobbly smile form on his lips.

"You ok there, Lu?" I said, tilting my head at him.
"Y-yeah! Tot-a-ly fiiiine!" He said, very unconvincingly. Something about the way he jittered made my heart flutter for a moment.
"What's wrong?" I said.
"I... um... well..." Luffy stuttered, making me scrunch my eyebrows down in concern.
I wasn't sure what was going on with him, but it made me nervous. Things still didn't feel quite right between us. I couldn't put my finger on what it was, but I was certainly feeling a little extra self conscious. This was not helping.
"Geez, what's both of your problem?" Zoro grumbled, taking a gulp of his drink.
"Zoro!" Nami sniped, making Zoro shrug.
"What?! They're both acting stupid!"
"Don't you talk about Misaki-san like that!" Sanji growled.
"Whatever happened to Garp?" Kramer interjected, leaning back in his seat.
Everybody froze.
"What?" He said, throwing his hands up.
"When the Hell did you get back?!" I said, stuffing some food in my mouth.
"Bout five seconds ago. Aye, Sanji, my man! Can you toss me some grub?" Kramer said lackadaisically, picking at his ear with his pinky. "I just realized Garp's not here, though."
