Heavy. Luffy's face scrunched a little, but he continued to snore, despite feeling increasingly aware of something laying heavily against his chest. My chest feels. Heavy. But... warm.
Jean shook her head at the sight. Misaki was curled over the top of Luffy, his arms wrapped tightly around her. They laid as care free as ever, strewn out on the deck of the Sunny. She figured they wouldn't be able to stay away from each other for long, but the silly young couple couldn't even last a single night. They both looked so cozy, it almost made her not want to wake them up. But breakfast would be beginning soon, and an island was most certainly on the horizon. She knelt down, choosing to poke the rubber man, who stubbornly refused to wake up.
"Luffyyyyyy." She whispered to him as he snored. "Don't you want breakfast?"
"Eh?" He muttered, lifting his head slightly as his eyes squinted open. "Will there be meat?"
"Yes, Lu. There will be meat." She giggled.
"Why is my chest so heavy?" He asked, looking at Jean curiously. He then looked down and let his head smack back to the ground as he chuckled. "Oh."
"You have attracted a wild Misaki." Jean teased. "Careful now. They're hard to shake off!"
"As if I'd ever wanna shake her off." He chuckled, peering at her again.
She was sleeping so soundly, snuggled as close to him as she could possibly get without actually climbing into his shirt. That would be funny, if she did that actually. But instead, she just snored lightly, loafed on top of him like a cat. Good thing he was made of rubber, or else that could have been more uncomfortable.
"Man, there isn't a person in the world that wouldn't believe you love her." Jean said, raising an eyebrow. "You can't stop smiling."
"I'm probably blushing too."
"I was gonna leave that statement alone, but since you said it..." She retorted, making him laugh. "But anyways, I figure I'll let you wake her up now."
Jean left as Luffy's smile fell a little. Wish you would have helped with that but it's fine.
He unwrapped his arms from her, eliciting an annoyed whine. Shit. She's not ready to wake up. It was always so hard for Luffy to wake her up, especially when she looked so cozy. He hated upsetting her.
"M'. It's time for breakfast, you know." He said, giving her cheek a poke.
Her eyes fluttered open, locking eyes with him. Something about the way her eyes shown in that moment gave him goosebumps.
"Luffy."
"Yes?"
"Will you..." Her eyes searched his endlessly as she bit her lip. A sharp breath caught in her throat as her eyes dropped away from him. "n-Nevermind...."
Luffy's eyebrows furrowed for a moment as he looked at her. Misaki was unapologetically bold, but has always been a little bit fragile. She always tried to hide it, but he had just about forgotten about this side of her. It was unsure, and nervous. But... she hadn't been that way with him in so long. Ever since their first real I love you, he sruggled to remember a time where she was this unsure. It made his heart ache, seeing her like that again.

I couldn't do it. Even as I sat in his arms, I couldn't ask him. It felt so silly to ask someone like him at this point.
"M'." He said as he squeezed me softly. I drew my eyes back up to meet his, trying to hide the pout that was forming on my lower lip. "Say it."
Say it?! My heart skipped around happily as he smiled confidently. That's right! This is Luffy. Even if he laughs at me, he wouldn't mean any harm by it. I opened my mouth again, hesitating on the directness of my previous statement. If that bothers you, don't be so direct. Make it a conversation.
