Book- Little secrets
Author- ghostiemalone
Blurb:
Blurb is intriguing. However, I would suggest adding some more information. Maybe something about Anais and a vague idea about why she is trying to solve the mystery. Punctuations are missing at the end of sentences. So do look out for that.
Moving towards the chapters,
Awesome start. It created the hook right away. I wonder what secret Isabella knew.
The dialogues were interesting. I liked the way Dylan used to ask her mother about dairy. It was a smart move.
Dialogues are interesting to read. However, they are the only ones carrying out the chapter. Some descriptions would be good (Not talking about appearances).
Anais' character is interesting. Just a few dialogues in, and I know I am going to enjoy reading about her. I am also intrigued to find out what happened to her brother.
Curious about the fact that she deduced that the new student is American from the way he wore his socks. Is there a different way of wearing them for different countries?
I really thought there was a clue in Isabella's last diary entry. However, it turned out to be a regular moodswing of a teenager. Let's see what happens and whether the diary actually helps solve the case or not.
Who would need an enemy when you have a friend and boyfriend like Molly and Jordan?
Lmao, Anais was sitting there, listening to Molly and Jordan. I didn't expect that. Just awesome!
I thought Anais would go against Molly and Jordan, but didn't expect this to happen to Molly.
Now, I can assume why Anais took on the case to find the murderer.
I like the fact that almost all chapters start with Isabella's diary.
Scott is suspicious. I wonder whether he is involved with the culprit or is he the one Dylan spoke to on the phone. I am leaning on the latter. I feel he is secretly investigating. Will have to see if my assumption comes true.
Operation Peel the banana😂😂 Hermione is one hell of a character.
Looks like Anais is a habitual spy. Would love to know where she had used her skills before.
Whoa! My assumption about scott came true. I am sure the girls were about to have a heart attack at first while looking at those pictures.
*****
Characters are amazing. It is fun to read about them. Their personalities scream through their actions and dialogues, without the author needing to clarify it. I am thoroughly enjoying Anais and Hermione's friendship. They are so different yet so cool together. Scott is an interesting character too. His interaction with Anais is enjoyable.
A little work is needed in world building. As I said before, the story is mostly hanging on the dialogues, which are no doubt brilliant. A little more descriptions would do good to the story.
Information is provided in the right amounts and at the right time. There are interesting cliffhangers, which make us really curious. Things have been so interesting that I can't stop trying to imagine what will happen next. Chapters flow smoothly like a breeze. It is hard to put down the book once you have started it.
Plot is no doubt interesting and intriguing. And it is well portrayed too. Just look out for a minor plot hole: Isabella's surname changed from Arron to Monroe.
Grammar
Punctuations are missing. Almost all commas and full stops are missing. And a few quotation marks are missing as well.
A small mistake in Chapter 2
Anais walked to her usual seat but found someone seating there already
→Anais walked to her usual seat, but found someone sitting there already.
Last words,
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book. It was an interesting mix of murder mystery and hilarious characters.
Author needs to work on Grammar and presentation. Otherwise, the story is a great hit.
I had a great time reading the story. It really made my day. I would definitely add the book to my library and read the whole book later.
Thanks for choosing me. Keep writing!!
