Blurb:
Blurb is nicely written. It gives us an idea of the main motive of the main lead and also about her rival. The blurb is good but it can be made more attractive to capture readers attention.

Moving towards the chapters,

The start seems monotonous with three consecutive paragraphs starting with I. As it is the start, try to make the same information more engrossing. The descriptions are good, so just tweaking the sentence a bit would do wonders.

Loved the character of Ed. The scene of Samosas was fun to read.

Poppy's character is defined nicely as well. It is clear as day that she is a bully. Her actions are enough to portray that within the first chapter.

Two chapters in, and I am already a fan of Ed.

Loved the interaction between Callum and Rose. I loved how his expressions were captured when Rose said she remembered him and then went on to say that he didn't have a presence. I truly felt bad for him. Rose's blabbering was funny as well.

I found the descriptions of dresses a little out of place as it took attention away from the main topic. It isn't necessary to point out what they are wearing every time, especially if the dressing is not important to the scene.

The amount of rules against the women were heartbreaking. It personally gave me relief when Rose and Ed continued to break those. Ed cycling and Rose fighting with that librarian was brilliant.

I loved these lines- When the humble ones are unable, the vociferous will fight on their behalf. And when the vociferous go too far with rage, the humble ones will pacify them and bring them back to the middle ground.

Callum not speaking about his hunger to help the struggling family and his mother remembering it always to feed him. This part really warmed my heart.

The always careful Callum, only clumsy in front of Rose. The way his parents were amused And the hello part. My cheeks hurt so bad from smiling continuously while reading this.

A nice twist came to Poppy's character in the eighth chapter. Would love to know more about her weird reaction. I have few assumptions in my mind, but will have to read more to confirm😊.

Characterization:

I loved each and every character. They all are so nicely developed, making us connect with them instantly. Poppy's character was shown badly, but I have a feeling that slowly something would come up as a reason behind her behavior.

Description:

Everything was properly described. I could imagine the scenes, their reactions perfectly while reading.

Plot:
Main Concept is plain and simple, but the story isn't. Rules against women, the community of a small place, heartwarming neighbours, friendship, cute interactions, loving parents, there was so much more that made me fall into love with this story.

The story flows smoothly. It is so engrossing that it is hard to put it down once we start reading it.

Grammar and vocabulary.
Great vocabulary. I learned a few new words while reading the story.

Grammar
Some sentences sounded weird to me. Like, I understood the meaning, and they are grammatically right too but sound a little weird. (Perhaps it's just me, so don't change anything without proper search)

2nd chapter
1)False, the last sentence.
→ The sentence sounds a little weird to hear.

2)Ed didn't mind her weight or size because it didn't inconvenience her much.
→Ed didn't mind her weight or size because it wasn't an inconvenience to her.

Overall, the story was grammatically perfect.

Last words,

I absolutely loved the story. It was a light, fun filled read. A gem to read if you want to uplift your mind on a bad day. I would suggest changing the blurb and the start of the first chapter a little. Apart from them, each and every part of the story was so engrossing and so hooking. An awesome story indeed!!

Ps: Although Rose and Callum are cutest, I have fallen for Ed's character. She has become one of my favourite characters over all the books I have read till date.

Thanks for choosing me. Keep writing!!
