Narrator pov. At the temple~
When Genta touched the keyhole and got himself slightly electrocuted, that was when 'Ginzo' picked him up by the back of his hood and away from the keyhole.
Irene stared up at him before glancing at Jirokichi, remembering that she was supposed to hide her connection to KID.
As Edogawa asked again where the horn was, Jirokichi finally answered by saying he'd show them, taking out keys in matching colors to the pedestals.
He gave them to 'Ginzo', who reminded him to turn off the electric current first. Jirokichi took out his phone and called to have the current turned off for now.
At the sound of the beeping, Irene stayed silent as she remained with the kids while 'Ginzo' explained what the sounds meant.
When the keys were turned, the pillar started opening, and Irene watched with the rest of the detective boys as the Kirin statue and the jewel horn on top of it were now displayed.
After a few moments, the pillar was closed again, and Jirokichi explained it could only be opened by turning the 4 keys at the same time.
After more bragging on Jirokichi's part about how he'd win this one, 'Ginzo', standing by the rest of the detective boys, started talking lowly to himself about how Jirokichi was easy-going, mentioning how KID could have 3 accomplices with him in here.
The rest of the detective boys fell for his trap and offered to guard the pedestals themselves, while Irene stepped away and closer to the pillar.
As the broadcast started, Irene closed her eyes as she heard the background noise around her, and when the sound of Jirokichi nailing the keys to the wall and his laughing was heard, she opened her eyes to see the darkness that now fallen in the room.
She looked around, having gotten her vision adjusted to the dark by closing her eyes, and was the only one not panicking as wind and rain suddenly entered the room through the now open windows, pulling her hood on.
After the pillar started opening and Edogawa suddenly screamed, Irene spotted Ayumi running over in worry as her light was on the now unconscious Edogawa.
As the detective boys gathered around the unconscious detective, Ayumi started crying, "Conan-kun! Please open your eyes!"
Irene knelt and placed two fingers on his neck before saying in her usual tone, "It's okay, Ayumi-chan. He's just knocked out."
Ayumi seemed to calm down as the adults yelled before the lights turned back on, and they noticed the missing jewel.
As 'Ginzo' spouted his own conclusion that had the idea that KID fled, the revelation that the road was blocked because of a landslide caught him off guard.
Ai shut his idea that Edogawa was poisoned down as she looked in the pillar and found a stungun, and Jirokichi revealed the truth about his hidden security measures.
Irene, meanwhile, lifted Edogawa's hood and saw the sticker she expected right under it, dropping it back down, as the fluorescent paint was found.
After Ai got the detective boys to be the ones searching everyone for the horn, Irene searched Edogawa's pockets and pretended to find nothing.
As the connection of the pedestals to the four dieties, Suzakku or Vermillion Bird, Byakku or White Tiger, Genbu or Black Tortoise, Seiryu or Blue Dragon, was figured out, Irene took out her phone.
'Which season did each represent again...' She thought as she searched it up.
As everyone watched the VTR recording of the blackout, the Detective Boys explained who was guarding which pillar, and 'Ginzo' commented on the floor, and the adults started arguing, Irene took a deep breath.
"I know the answer," she spoke, voice as emotionless as usual, which caught everyone's attention.
"Eh?" everyone said.
Irene clarified, "Where the horn is, how KID opened the pillar, and who KID is." She looked up at everyone, "I figured it out."
AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!
Yep, a three-parter like the anime episodes, yaaaay.
Though, admittedly, it would've been a two-parter if I didn't write that original chapter first... Oh well.
But hey, Irene is going to expose the truth before Conan reveals he woke up, so that's cool.
Look forward to that next time.
So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!
That's all. See you next chapter!
Stay sweet, my fellow anime lovers!~
