Narrator pov. On the airship~
Irene was standing with the others by the window, looking down at Tropical Land as they flew above it.
The real kids excitedly talked about how everything looks so small from up here.
Irene ignored the interaction between Mouri and her obviously-too-scared-to-look father, focusing on the scenery as the real kids mentioned KID.
Suzuki answered Genta's doubts about KID coming with a confident affirmative before showing the reply to Jirokichi's challenge on her phone.
As Genta only focused on the Hiragana and therefore it didn't make sense, Suzuki lectured him on it before reading KID's reply herself.
While she was doing that, Irene remembered what she had changed at the time they were boarding earlier.
Flashback time~
Ayumi had hurried up the stairs to the ship and tripped, but Kuroba, disguised as a security guard, caught her in time before she hit the metal stairs.
Ayumi thanked him as he gave her a gentle warning, and Mouri and Irene came over then, Mouri thanking him again while Irene stayed silent.
As Mouri noticed that he skinned his elbow, Irene took out the bandaid she had first, giving it to him while saying, "Here," in her usual tone.
Kuroba and she made eye contact before he accepted the bandaid with a smile and said, "Arigatou, Ojo-san."
She nodded at him before Ayumi took her hand and rushed with her more carefully up the stairs.
Flashback end~
'No need for that side plot to happen,' she thought to herself matter-of-factly, just as Suzuki's usual fangirling reached her ears.
She heard Ai comment to Edogawa about Suzuki's unique personality, which he agreed with.
Agasa, whom Irene had noticed taking pictures of the view and sending them occasionally to Fusae, then snapped Suzuki out of it by asking if there were other passengers on board the airship.
As Suzuki then looked around and found the first extra passenger, Fujioka, passing by, she introduced him as a reporter.
Irene stared before looking away.
Then Masaki, the glasses TV director, made his presence known by calling out to Kogoro from beside him and asking if he was the famous detective.
He showed his business card while introducing himself, saying it was nice to meet Kogoro.
Kogoro accepted the card before Masaki introduced the reporter lady and cameraman with him, Nishitani Kasumi, and Ishimoto Junpei.
Kogoro replied to their greetings politely before Masaki explained that they were broadcasting the KID heist happening later on the ship.
Kogoro recalled that the broadcast was going to be a special evening program, which Masaki confirmed before explaining that they had to change plans because the station was busy with the other big news, which Kogoro realized was about the Red Siamese Cats.
Jirokichi then arrived in time to hear that conversation and start badmouthing the Cats for ruining his plans for his autobiography movie.
Irene waved slightly at Lupin the dog, who happily barked at her.
Then Masaki approached to greet Jirokichi, who annoyedly pointed out how they were broadcasting this ship with only three staff members.
As Ishimoto mentioned the bacteria, Irene leaned back against the wall while standing, knowing the hint he and Nishitani were giving about who they were.
As Genta got droplet contact explained to him, Ai joked to the kids about how they were the most susceptible to it before Fujioka joined in.
Even though at first he seemed to be comforting the kids, he changed his tone and said that one croak from them and they'd be gone, which scared them.
Mouri and Suzuki stood up to him about it, which he laughed off before walking away. Then Jirokichi reassured them that as long as they were in the airship, they'd be fine, apparently forgetting that they were going to land at some point.
Irene ignored him as she stepped away to watch for the right time to start her plan.
AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!
Yep, nothing much happened as it was the first part.
But at least we see that Irene prevented the stupid "Ran believes Kaito is Shinichi" plot from happening.
The next part would be more interesting, so look forward to that, guys.
So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!
That's all. See you next chapter!
Stay sweet, my fellow anime lovers!~
