Narrator pov. At Kitanosawa Village, a few days later~
While the real kids went ahead and snowboarded down a slope to have fun like most every other tourist, the trio was with Agasa at one of the benches.
Irene had a cup of warm milk tea, which she sipped from time to time while Edogawa and Ai had their conversation.
When Edogawa said, "Well, regardless of those guys..." and looked to the side with Ai and Agasa also doing the same, Irene glanced over before sipping more tea, as he added, "Taku, why did Ran and Sonoko come?"
Irene thought, 'Suzuki-san probably thought she'd meet more cute guys in this village, and she convinced Mouri-san to come with her,' but didn't say anything as she sipped more tea.
And when Edogawa looked behind them while implying Kogoro also came with them, Irene refused to look back, sipping more tea instead, knowing what the man was doing.
She ignored the scream heard from the direction of the hot spring bath.
A bit later, when everyone except Kogoro gathered around to go check out the food stands, Irene looked around for something she was interested in trying, as Agasa started his quiz, "What's the most suitable menu for a food stand in a plaza covered in powder snow? 1; Yakiimo. 2; Isobeyaki. 3; Ikayaki. 4; Takoyaki."
While the kids struggled, Edogawa had a deadpan look, able to figure it out easily this time, 'Oi oi, that's too easy.'
He noticed Irene approaching the Takoyaki stand and decided to go with her instead of listening to the others figure it out.
She bought a box of Takoyaki and, noticing him following her, she offered him half, starting to eat herself.
Smiling, he accepted the offer, eating some.
They both walked back to the others while eating as Ayumi and Mouri explained the answer to the quiz.
He looked to her and asked, "It's your first time trying Takoyaki in winter, right?"
She nodded, emotionless expression as usual, "Yeah. Miyuki always hyped it up, though."
He decided not to comment on that and instead tilted his head, "So?"
She responded, "She was right. It tastes better in this weather."
He smiled, "Doesn't it?"
When they finished the box of Takoyaki, Irene threw it in the nearest trash can just as the real kids announced they were going to go eat.
When Mouri looked down at the trio and asked, "Irene-chan, Ai-chan, and Conan-kun, what about you?"
Irene responded, "I'll pass," at the same time as Ai, which made them glance at each other without saying anything.
Edogawa said, "Me too. I wanna take a walk through the village."
When Agasa offered to go with him, Ai shot him down, saying, "Hakase, you'll have a cup of tea with me."
Agasa's helpless, dramatic cry didn't deter Irene as she took her turn to explain what she wanted to do, "I just ate. So I'll just go to our room and sketch something."
Mouri nodded in understanding as Irene started to walk away, waving lazily with her emotionless expression and voice still the same, "So Ja ne."
The farewell was returned behind her as she calmly went back to the lodge.

Yep, now that Conan knows how to cook, he just immediately thinks the quiz is too easy, but this time doesn't comment.
And there was a bit of a ship moment between Irene and Conan. >v>
Technically, something small happened, but the next part will have more.
