A/N: so before I start, I am so sorry for my lack of uploads. School is only three weeks in and I already have the PSAT in October and the actual SAT to worry about since, oh my god, I'm a junior, I'm one(technically 2) more year from being an actual adult. I want to scream.

So yeah, I'm sorry about the lack of posts, I sincerely am, but my school work has to come first. I didn't do so hot last year and I need to make it up.

This story will feature Penelope Clearwater, a lot, but just, read it and you'll see what I mean.
.................

"Percy, can you give me a hand with this?" Oliver asked, half shouting the question down the hall as his roommate opened his door, peeking his head out.

"What is it this time?" Percy questioned, walking over and hovering over Oliver at the computer.

"I need to submit this dumb paper, but the computer froze. I've tried everything and nothing is working." Oliver groaned.

"Sure you weren't watching porn?" Percy teased a bit, ruffling Oliver's hair.

"Yeah right, after all, I have you." Oliver retaliated, hoping it would cause a blush, it didn't.

"True, here, let me do something." Percy, like some sort of computer wizard, just hit the computer and it started working again.

"Wha-," Oliver just stared at his boyfriend in shock. "Ho-how?"

"Magic. I have to finish a report, call me when it's time to eat." Percy kissed Oliver's cheek and left for his room. Oliver just sighed as he watched Percy go.

"How did I get so lucky?" He hummed out and turned back to his work. Percy on the other hand was in a Skype call as he worked.

"How have you and Oliver been?" Penelope Clearwater questioned as she doodled in her sketchbook.

"We've been fantastic. Every day is a dream. What about you? Find anyone yet?" Percy hummed as he typed up another sentence in his report.

"No one, obviously. Everyone I work with is twice my age. Really limits my options." Penelope complained.

"You'll find someone, I'm sure." Percy smiled kindly.

"Why don't you ditch the boyfriend and come join me?" She joked.

"Yeah right, like I would actually leave him." He snorted as he continued to work.

"Percy! The computer is stressing me out, let's get takeout!" Oliver yelled. Percy smiled at the door.

"I'm coming, one minute!" He turned back to Penelope.

"Don't say anything, just go, don't leave your boyfriend waiting." Percy smiled and disconnected, running off to get takeout as Penelope just sighed at the call ended screen. She softly ran her fingers along it.

"It's my fault for falling for a gay guy." She smiled softly, "I'm just glad I'm still around to be his friend."

Throughout life, Oliver and Percy had always been close. They were childhood friends after all. Penelope joined them in their sophomore year of high school and well, she felt alienated. She couldn't blame them, she knew when she met them, their feelings for each other.

Conversations she started would shift or hit a dead end, she was the one who was the third wheel at every gathering, but she loved them. Both of them. In different ways of course, but she really loved them.

They cared for her, obviously not as much as they cared for each other, but she knew they would be there for her if she ever needed them.

She sighed, leaning back in her chair, "give it up, you can't ruin something like that." She pushed out of her chair and rises to her feet. "I need to run some errands."
