Donnie holds Jordan up with his binoculars so he can get a better view of the ball. Time Square was crowded beyond belief; but luckily neither you, Leo or Jordan were claustrophobic.
Jordan looks at the ball through his binoculars. "Wow!" He says. "It's really big!"
"That's the idea." Donnie replies, smiling.
The clock reaches 45 seconds.
"What are your resolutions, Donnie?" You ask.
"I'm trying to crack a genetic code for the mutagen, so my resolution is to figure that out." He replies. "What about you?"
"My resolution is to make sure that Jordan keeps being the best he can be." You say, gripping Jordan's shoulders. He giggles. "What's your resolution?" You ask him.
"I just want to keep on learning new things." He replies. You give Donnie a look that says: he's your son alright.
The clock reaches 10 seconds.
Ten... Nine... Eight... Seven...
Donnie inches closer to you.
Six... Five... Four... Three...
You look him deep in his brown eyes, while Jordan looks away.
Two... One...
You and Donnie gently lock lips, as the whole of Times Square cheers.
