Danny's pov:
I ran up the stairs to Amy's room but when I opened the door she was nowhere to be seen. The duvet was lying on the ground and she wasn't sitting somewhere or something like that. I turned back around and walked to my own room where I found her lying in my bed with the duvet like an cocoon around her. I carefully walked over to the bed in case she was sleeping but when I sat down next to her her eyes shot open.
"It's okay." I said trying to calm her down. She sat up a little bit so I took her in my arms and hugged her close to my chest. She flung her arms around my neck and pushed herself even closer to me. I rubbed her back trying to sooth her but at this moment she was too upset.
"I was so scared." She whispered after a few minutes of silence.
"I'm sorry." I replied kissing the top of her head.
"Why?" She asked confused and looked up at me.
"I shouldn't have left you here alone. I'm sorry." I replied pushing the hair out of her face.
"You couldn't know this. And why is your nose bleeding?" She asked worried. I brought my hand to my face and saw the red liquid on my hand.
"It was Bryan, wasn't it?" She whispered barely audible. I was trying to think of a lie hoping that that wouldn't upset her more but she took my silence as a yes.
"I'm so sorry. He should've hit me instead of you." She said looking down at her hands.
"Don't ever say that again." I replied putting my finger under her chin and forcing her to look at me.
"But it's true. You've got nothing to do with this, it's not fair that he's hit you." She said the tears appearing in her eyes again.
"No, it's not true. He thought that you were cheating on him with me. So he's mad at me as well, or maybe even more. I understand it in some way, if you were my girl I'd fight 'till the death you get you back if I needed." I said still looking in her eyes. I saw her blushing when I said that but she didn't reply.
"I think I need to go back down, I called the police. I'll be back in a second." I said kissing the top of her head and walked back downstairs. When I opened the front door I saw that I was right cause the police was here but I couldn't see Bryan so I assumed that they'd taken him already in the car. One of the police men came towards me and asked me the basic questions. I answered all of them as quick as possible cause I didn't want Amy to be on her own at the moment. Finally I was allowed to go so I quickly went back inside and went upstairs to Amy. I opened the door to my bedroom and saw that she was lying on my bed again.
"Am? Are you still awake?" I whispered into the half darkness.
"Hmmm." She mumbled. I walked to the window and closed the curtains fully so it was complete dark by now.
"I'll go to my bed." She mumbled sitting up a little bit.
"No, you can stay here. I'll take it." I said tucking her in again.
"But you have to sleep in your own bed." She replied but lay down.
"Then I'll sleep next to you." I said winking, not that she could see that but I knew that she knew that I'd do that if she could see me. She didn't reply to that so I took that as a yes. I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth before I went back to my bedroom. I took my jeans of and grabbed a random t-shirt to sleep in. When I was done I lifted the covers and got in next to her.
"Good night." I whispered kissing her cheek. She just mumbled something in reply. I closed my eyes and it didn't take long to fall asleep.
