~Chapter 144~

Danny's pov:

We were celebrating christmas at my mum's this year. We'd just stuffed ourselves with all  the delicious food she'd made. Am had gone upstairs to bathe the girls before they'd go to bed. I decided to go up and see if she needed any help. 

As I walked in I found Ava and Liz sitting in the bathtub while Am was sitting on the closed toilet seat. Liz squealed as she noticed me entering the bathroom while Ava was splashing water at her little sister. 

"Hey babe." I said as I made Am stand up before I drew her down on my lap as I sat down on the closed toilet seat. 

"Hey." She replied and wrapped her arms around my neck. I pulled her close to me and pressed a serie of soft kisses against her neck.

I was happy to see her relaxed again. Cause I'd love to say that everything's fine and Bryan left us to play happy families again. But that's not true. He's been harassing us non-stop, everyday, several times a day. It got so bad that Am decided to get a new phone number cause she got so upset about some of the things he said. Because of that he can't contact Am anymore, but somehow he also got hold of my number and is now texting me the whole time. And although I don't open his texts or ignore them, it still upsets Am which kills me. 

And even though I know Am won't admit it, I know she's scared. She makes sure the doors are always locked even at daytime when we are all home. She constantly wants the curtains in the kitchen closed so he can't see us from the street when we would be home and she has someone picking her up from home and bringing her home again when she has to work. 

I, personally, am not particularly scared, more worried. Worried because of the texts he'd sent about knowing where Ava goes to school and because I now know what he's capable of. And worried about Am, because she's scared and anxious almost 24/7. 

But since we're in Dublin, she's starting to relax a bit more, cause she knows that Bryan can't know that we are here. And even if he did, there's not much he could do right now. Apart from continuing to text me, which he'll do anyway, whether we're in Dublin or not. 

We sat watching our girls play for a little longer until we decided to get them out so we could get them ready for bed. I lifted Liz out of the tub and wrapped her in a towel while Am helped Ava. 

Once I'd dried Liz she ran off to the bedroom with me chasing her. 

"Where did you think you were going?" I asked laughing as I lifted her up and lay her down on the bed tickling her. She laughed loudly and squirmed trying to get away from me.

"Daddy please!" She shouted while trying to remove my hands from her tummy. After a few more moments I stopped tickling her and blew a raspberry on her tummy before letting her calm down. 

Once she'd calmed down a bit I dressed her into her pajamas before tucking her into bed. I sat chatting with her for a little while about the presents she'd gotten for christmas- to say they're spoiled is an understatement!

I eventually leaned down and kissed Liz's forehead before I left the bedroom. I quietly walked into Ava's room and found her already sound asleep, exhausted from an eventful day. I kissed her as well before I went downstairs where Am was already sitting on the couch drinking tea with the rest of my family.

"What were you doing to that poor girl?" Am asked laughing as I sat down beside her and wrapped my arm around her.

"Tickling." I replied grinning. She shook her head chuckling before resting her head against my shoulder.

It was around midnight when we decided to go to bed as well.  We helped my mum clear the living room before I made my way upstairs, Am following behind. I'd brushed my teeth and Am was taking her makeup off while I went to check on the girls who were both sleeping soundly. Once I got to our room Am was just getting into bed.

"I've got another present for you." I announced as I looked through my suitcase.

"Another?" Am asked surprised as she sat up in bed.

"Mhmm." I replied nodding while I found my present.

"Why are you giving this now?" She asked confused.

"I didn't think this was appropriate to give with all the family around and with our girls..." I replied cheekily I said as I handed her the pink striped Victoria's Secret bag. I got into bed next to her while she opened the bag and pulled out a sexy set of red see-through lingerie. 

"Are you suggesting something, Mr?" She asked raising her eyebrow.

"Hmm, maybe." I replied as I pecked her lips softly.

"And we're spending tomorrow night at a hotel, my mum will look after Ava and Liz. So you and I can have some quality time." I said as I lay down, pulling Am with me.

"That sounds appealing." She said smiling as she cuddled close to me.

"I thought so." I replied as I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her closer to me.

Am and I just had dinner together and were now heading to the hotel I had booked for the two of us for tonight. When we arrived I paid the driver before I got out and quickly ran around to Am's side and opened the door. I wrapped one arm around her waist while I was carrying our bag in the other while we walked inside. 

After we were given our roomkey we went up to our room. I turned the lights on while Am unpacked our bag. When I was done I ordered a bottle of wine and a few things to eat. 

Am was in the bathroom when I heard a knock on the door, our roomservice being delivered. I handed the guy a tip before I closed the door. I opened the bottle and poured two glasses of wine. I took it all to the bed where I sat down and turned the tv on while waiting for Am to return. 

After a few moments I heard the bathroom door open again and when I looked up I saw Am coming out, wearing the lingerie I'd bought her.

"Well this is a nice surprise." I said smiling while she climbed onto the bed.

"Is it?" She replied smiling mischievously while I handed her a glass of wine. 

"It is, actually." I said and reached over, taking a chocolate covered strawberry feeding it to Am.

"Well I'm glad." She said while feeding me some chocolate.

We teased each other for a little while longer until I leaned in and pressed my lips against Am's. One of her hands cupped my face and the other ran through my hair while I had my hands on her hips. She broke the kiss for a few seconds as she pulled my shirt over my head. Once it was off I leaned forward pushing Am onto her back while I hovered over her. 

It wasn't long until we were both undressed. I reached over to grab my wallet and get the little foil packet when Am caught my wrist.

"Not?" I asked confused, my breathing heavy from what we were doing.

"I thought you wanted a third child?" She replied cheekily.

"That ain't going to happen if you keep wearing protection."
