Danny's pov:
It was a little after 10 PM by the time we left the hospital. I'd already called a cab and once Am and I were both ready I got a wheelchair so Am didn't have to walk all the way to the exit.
"Ready, babe?" I asked as I pushed the wheelchair into the room.
"Yup." She answered before I helped her out of bed.
Once she sat in the wheelchair I handed Jamie over to Am, who held him in her arms. I grabbed our bag and swung it on my shoulder before I pushed Am out of the room and the hospital.
I helped her into the cab before quickly running inside to bring the wheelchair back, before getting into the cab myself.
Half an hour later we arrived back home. I paid the driver before repeating the same process, helping Am out of the cab this time.
"Welcome home!" Rina said when we walked in. Mark and Rina had looked after Ava and Liz while we were in the hospital and she'd called earlier this evening to say that she'd bring them back home and stay with them until we would be home.
"Thanks." Am said smiling while hugging Rina with one arm.
"I'll go home, I think you two could do with some rest." She said winking after she'd greeted me as well.
I walked to the door with Rina while Am went upstairs to get herself and Jamie ready for bed.
"Thanks for looking after the girls." I said hugging her.
"No problem." She said smiling before she left.
I locked the door behind her and turned all the lights off before going upstairs as well.
I checked on both Ava and Liz and kissed them both on their forehead before I walked into Jamie's room where Am was just laying him down in his cot. I stood next to Am and wrapped my arm around her waist, pulling her into me while we stood watching our son for a few moments.
"I'm so happy." I whispered and rested my head on top of Am's.
"Me too." She said squeezing my side softly.
We watched him for a few minutes longer until we decided to go to bed, seeing as we would have to get up again in a few hours to feed Jamie once again.
After I'd brushed my teeth I stripped down to my boxers and dropped my clothes in the laundry basket before making my way to the bedroom where Am was already laying in bed. I lifted the duvet and crawled in, pulling Am closer to me.
I sighed contently when I lay down, satisfied that I could finally rest my body for a while. I wrapped my arms around Am who cuddled into me. I pressed once last kiss against the top of Am's head before letting sleep take over.

To say that the first night was a little rough would be an understatement I guess. Jamie barely slept that night, and therefore we didn't either. The first two hours went fine, until he woke up for the first time that night and refused to go back to sleep after that. It was almost as if he made up for the long time he'd stayed silent at the hospital.
We couldn't leave his bedroom without him crying or screaming right after we walked out. So after three attempts we took him to our bed, which made things a little bit better thankfully, cause it did stop the screaming. Although he still didn't go to sleep and kept us up almost the whole night through.
It was around 8AM that he decided to go to sleep.

I'd just picked up the girls from school and opened the front door. They both ran off in different directions to play. I walked into the living room but found it empty. So I walked upstairs and opened the door to our bedroom where I found Am taking a nap, with Jamie on her chest, who was also asleep.
I smiled at the sight of the two of them before carefully closing the bedroom door again. I went back downstairs and made my way to the kitchen to make tea. Just as I flicked the kettle on, the door bell rang.
I walked to the door and opened it, revealing my mum and one of my sisters.
"Hey!" I said surprised.
"Congratulations son!" My mum said before enveloping me in a tight hug. I smiled and wrapped one arm around my mum while I wrapped the other around Andi, pulling her into the hug as well.
I made the three of us a cup of tea before joining them on the couch and told them about everything that happened yesterday, and how he'd kept us awake last night.
"Well you do indeed look a little rough." Andi said teasing me. I rolled my eyes as her, although he was right. My hair was one big un-styled mess, I hadn't shaved in a few days and there were bags under my eyes. And the fact that I was wearing a baggy T-shirt and sweatpants didn't make it any better either.
Before I could say something to defend myself Amy walked into the living room with Jamie in her arms.
"Hey!" She said surprised once she saw my mum and sister.
"Hi love." My mum said smiling before standing up from the couch. Am quickly handed Jamie to me so she could give my mum a proper hug. Once she'd congratulated Amy she sat down on the couch next to me and looked down at Jamie.
"Oh look at your little man." She said, her voice filled with awe as she looked at him.
"He looks like Danny, doesn't he?" Am said as she walked out of the kitchen with a cup of tea in her hands as well.
"He does." My mum agreed.
"Well lucky for him, he also got some of Amy's features." Andi said teasing me again. I ignored her though, too proud to show off my son to be bothered by my sister's teasing.
After a few moments I handed Jamie over to my mum, so she could hold her grandson.
"Look at those tiny fingers." She gushed as she held one of Jamie's little hands in hers.
After a few moments I decided to get Ava and Liz, so they could meet their little brother as well. They were both asleep when we got home last night and then went to school today so they hadn't met Jamie yet. I tried to explain that they'd got a brother though, but they didn't seem to completely understand it.
They both came racing down the stairs once I told them that granny was here too. Ava climbed on my lap and wrapped her arms around my neck as I sat back down on the couch. We tried to explain that Jamie was their brother once again. And although I still think Liz didn't completely understand it, I believe Ava did.
Liz also climbed onto my lap so she could see Jamie too. I wrapped each arm around one of my daughters as they looked at their little brother.
"Hello brother." Liz said waving at Jamie, although he was asleep.
"He's not called brother. He's called Jamie, isn't he Daddy?" Ava told her little sister, turning to look at me at the end of her sentence.
"He is." I replied chuckling.
"Hello Jamie." Liz said again.
I laughed and pressed a kiss against the top of Liz's head before hugging them tightly.
