Danny's pov:

We'd gotten home a few hours ago, and Liz seemed to settle quite quick. I was helping Ava to put her coat on cause I was going for a walk with Lola and Ava wanted to go to the playground so I took her with me.

"Ready?" I asked her once I had zipped her coat up.

"Ya!" She said happily.

"Am?" I asked, popping my head into the living room where Am was.

"Yeah?" She asked looking in my direction.

"Ava and I are walking Lola." I said kneeling down to attach the lead to Lola's collar.

"Alright." She replied before I opened the front door and stepped out. Ava was holding Lola's lead while I was holding Ava's hand. She kept telling me proudly that she was walking the dog because she was holding the lead. While in reality it was almost the other way around that Lola was walking Ava, cause Lola knew exactly the way to the park and was walking in that direction with me and Ava following behind. Lola's lead is actually unnecessary she knows the way and stays close to you, but Am is scared that Lola will run off when something happens, so we keep using the lead.

As soon as we reached the playground Ava run off to the slide. I took the lead off Lola's collar and let her run around for a while while I sat down on a bench as usual keeping an eye on Ava.

"Daddy look!" Ava shouted at me before sliding down the slide on her tummy. I smiled at her while she climbed up the stairs to slide down again.

"Shall we go feed the ducks now?" I asked after Ava had played for half an hour.

"One last time." She replied making her way from the swing to the slide once again.

"Daddy you there." Ava said pointing at the end of the slide. I went to stay at the end of the slide like Ava said and opened my arms, waiting for Ava to come down. When she reached the end of the slide I placed my hands underneath her arms and lifted her up, placing her on my shoulders.

"Let's go feed the ducks." I said holding onto Ava with one hand while I held Lola's lead with the other hand. Ava had her hands placed on the top of my head holding onto my hair while happily singing 'Sesame Street'. People who passed us smiled at me when they heard and saw Ava, filling me with pride.

Once we got to the ducks I lifted Ava off my shoulders again and handed her the piece of bread I had taken with me to feed the ducks. I took my phone out and took a picture of Ava feeding the ducks. I chuckled at myself when I saw Ava putting a piece of bread in her own mouth before continuing to feed the ducks.

Once all the bread was gone we started to make our way home again.

"Daddy?" Ava asked, tugging on my hand.

"Yes sweetheart?" I replied, looking down at her.

"Ice cream? Please?" She asked, pointing over to a man who was selling ice cream.

"Alright." I said giving in and made my way over to the man with Ava still holding onto my hand.

A few moments later was Ava licking on a huge ice cream while we were walking back home.

"Is it nice?" I asked chuckling at Ava who had the ice all over her face and hands.

"Yummy!" She replied continuing to lick her ice cream.

By the time we got home Ava had finished her ice cream as well. I opened the door and Ava ran inside to the living room to Am.

"Mummy I got ice cream!" I heard her shouting while I was taking my coat off.
