Danny's pov:

I woke up with Amy still asleep in my arms. She looked so peaceful that I decided to just let her sleep for a little longer cause I knew that when she'd wake up, she'd immediately continue worrying about her mum. I mean, I understand that she's worried but I don't want her to worry all the time. And, to be honest, I'm a bit worried as well. I've known Hannah, her mum, for a long time almost as long as I know Amy and we always got along really well. And it feels weird to go there now as Amy's boyfriend instead of amy's friend.

I lay in bed for a little longer until I decided to get up and have a shower. After my shower I put my skinny jeans and a t-shirt on, I didn't bother doing my hair so I just put my beanie on. I went downstairs to make breakfast for Amy and I cause she had to wake up, otherwise we'd miss our flight. I made some toast and tea and carried it upstairs on a tray. When I carefully opened the bedroom door I saw that Amy was already awake cause she was lying with her eyes open staring at the ceiling.

"Morning, gorgeous." I said smiling and sat down next to her.

"Morning." She replied and sat up as well.

"I made us breakfast." I said putting the tray on her lap.

"Thanks, you're sweet." She said smiling and gave me a kiss on my cheek. We ate our breakfast in comfortable silence and when we were done I brought the plates back downstairs so Am could get changed.

Twenty minutes later she came downstairs so we grabbed out suitcases and got in her car to the airport.

"It's gonna be okay." I said when we we're halfway there and put my hand on her thigh.

"I hope so..." She sighed and focused back on the road.

We just landed in Amsterdam and we're on our way to the hotel. Because Hannah is dutch, Amy can speak the language which makes it really easy for her here. Me, on the other hand, I don't understand it so I have no idea what they're talking about. But I'm used to it by now, being in countries that you don't understand a single from their language so it's okay.

When we arrived at our hotel Amy walked up to the women behind the desk and started talking to her. I was just standing next to her and waited until she was done. After a few moments she grabbed my hand and walked toward the elevator so I assumed that she knew to which room we had to go. We got out on the third floor and she stopped in front of a room with the number 331.

"This should be our room." She said and unlocked the door with the key that she'd gotten earlier. It was a nice room, not too posh, not too cheap. Perfect. We dropped out suitcases in the room and decided to go to the hospital first. We decided to walk to the hospital cause it wasn't that far and the weather was quite good. I took her hand in mine while we were walking and gave it a reassuring squeeze. She looked up at me and flashed me a small smile but I could tell that she was really nervous.

"Ready?" I asked once we were standing outside of the door that we were told that she was. She just nodded in reply and I slowly opened the door. We stepped inside of the room and I saw Hannah lying on a hospital bed with wires coming out of her body everywhere. The doctors had told us that she was awake but very weak. We walked over to her bed and Amy hugged her immediately, but being careful because of the state she was in.

"I missed you." Hannah said weak.

"I missed you too mum." She replied kissing her mums cheek.

"It's lovely to see you again, Danny." She whispered smiling weakly.

"Lovely to see you too." I replied and hugged her as well.

"What's happened?" Amy asked sitting on one of the chairs standing next to her bed.

"I was walking home from work and suddenly I saw a car appearing in front of me and heard a 'bang' and woke up here again." She explained her voice hoarse.

"I'm sorry..." Amy said with tears in her eyes.

"What are you sorry for love?" Her mum asked taking Amy's hand in hers.

"That I wasn't with you." She whispered as one tear rolled down her cheek.

"That's okay, you're here now." She said slowly bringing Amy's hand to her mouth and placed a light kiss on her knuckles. After that one tear more tears rolled down her cheek and I knew that her mum couldn't comfort her now so I moved my chair closer to hers and wrapped my arms around her. Rubbing her back trying to calm her down.

"Please don't cry." Her mum whispered while I was hugging her.

"Sorry, but I was so worried. I still am." She said in between sobs. When I felt that she was calmed down a little bit again I let go of her and sat back down in my chair.

"What have you been up to?" Her mum asked changing the subject.

"Nothing special. Like I told you earlier on the phone me and Bryan broke up. I've been working, and hanging around with Dan." She said flashing me a smile.

"How was the tour?" Hannah asked me. It was so sweet of her that she knew exactly when we were touring and making an new album and she knew that I was back for the second series of the voice.

"Amazing. Amsterdam was really cool." I said smiling.

"That's nice to hear." She said with a small smile.

"Mum, we have to tell you something." Amy said interrupting our little conversation. I knew exactly what she was going to say so I grabbed her hand and gave it a small squeeze.

"What's it love?" Hannah asked turning her attention back to Amy.

"Me and Danny... We are together." She said and looked at me after she said that. I brought her hand to my mouth and kissed it.

"That's amazing!" Hannah said trying to sound as happy as she could be in her state.

"It was about time, wasn't it?" She added making us laugh. We talked for a little longer until the doctor came back in and told us that we had to go cause Hannah needed some rest. He also told us about her condition at the moment and that she had to go through surgery soon. And by soon they meant tomorrow. The only thing was that it was a very risky surgery but there was no other option... We hugged her closely before we left and I walked to the corridor to give them some time together to say goodbye. Cause we knew that if she surgery went wrong, this was the last time that we'd seen her...
