Amy's pov:
I'd been calling hospital after hospital to ask if Mr O'Donoghue was brought in there. But none of them had a Mr O'Donoghue. And every time I was being told that my husband was not there I didn't know if I should be happy or not. I mean, I'm running out of hospitals to call so the chance that he is in hospital is also getting smaller which is a good thing. But if he's not been in an accident and not been brought into a hospital then where the hell is he?
I really wanted to call the police and beg them to give me the details of the car accident that happened but I know they won't give me those. And they also won't do much when I'd tell them that my husband's been missing for two hours. A two hour missing, they'll probably roll their eyes at me and laugh.
I was just wracking my brain about what I should do now when I heard Jamie crying through the baby monitor. I waited a few moments hoping he would settle anyway but his crying soon turned to screaming which was when I decided to go up to him.
"Hey you, what's up?" I asked as I lifted Jamie out of his cot and held him against his chest. He didn't stop screaming so I lightly bounced up and down desperately trying to calm him down. Nothing worked though and I really wished Danny was here right now. I don't know how he does it but he always manages to calm Jamie down so quickly. They really have a special bond and Jamie definitely is a Daddy's boy.
Almost half an hour later Jamie finally stopped crying. To my relief and also surprise the girls hadn't woken up despite Jamie's fairly loud screaming. I sat with him in my arms for a little longer until he dropped off to sleep. I carefully stood up and lay him back down in his cot. I tucked him in and made sure he was looking comfortable before I made my way back downstairs.
As I was trying to think of what I should do now I picked up my phone and realised I had three missed calls from Mark. I was on the phone with him when I saw the accident on the tv and immediately told him about it. He told me he'd go out and look for Danny seeing as I couldn't leave the house because I had to look after the kids.
I felt my heartbeat quicken as I noticed the missed calls and was just about to call him back when Mark called me once again.
"Hi." I said anxiously when I picked up.
"Thank god, I almost thought you'd gone out to look for Dan yourself and left the kids alone." Mark said once I answered.
"Jamie was crying." I told him, silently begging him to tell me why he called me.
"Right. Anyway, I found Dan." He said and I let out my breath that I didn't even know I was holding.
"Thank god!" I sighed as I struggled not to cry.
"Where was he?" I asked as I took a deep breath.
"This idiot went into the studio to hide from the rain and fell asleep."
I wanted to laugh at how stupid this was but also cry at how worried I'd been.
"He's on his way home now, didn't want a lift." Mark told me.
"Right, thanks Mark." I answered, incredibly thankful that Mark had found him.
Twenty minutes later, I heard key rustling and I immediately got up and walked to the hall to see Dan walking in.
"I was so worried." I said as I ran up to him and wrapped my arms around him, my head resting against his chest. Not caring that his clothes were still soaked.
"I'm sorry." He said as he wrapped one arm around my waist and his other hand on the back of my head.
"How come you didn't hear your phone?" I asked.
"I ran out of battery and I thought I'd only be there for a few minutes but then I fell asleep." He told me and kissed the top of my head.
"But I'm alright. It's OK baby." He whispered softly in my ear.
We stood for a while in comfortable silence until I eventually pulled away.
"Here, give me your clothes, you're soaked." I said as I looked at him. His hair was flattened against his forehead, his dark blue jeans were now almost black and his white T-shirt clung to his body and had turned see through.
"I think you just want to get me out of my clothes." He said cheekily as he peeled his wet T-shirt from his body.
"Well, as good as you look with your clothes on, your sexiest without them." I said playing along with him as I took his clothes from him.
Once he'd taken all his clothes off I turned him in the direction of the stairs and said,
"Right, now go and have a nice shower to warm up." While slapping his naked bum playfully.
"I know something better to warm up though." He said grinning as he took the first few steps.
"I'm sure you do. But this is the last wet thing you'll be experiencing tonight Mr." I answered. I heard him laughing as he walked up the stairs and I went to the kitchen to make us a cup of tea. As the water was boiling I put Dan's clothes in the washing machine before going back to the kitchen to make the tea.
Ten minutes later Dan walked into the living room wearing a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie. I went and joined him on the couch, cuddling up to him. I was lying in between his parted legs, my head resting against his chest and my arms wrapped around his waist.
"I'm sorry for worrying you." He said as his fingers played with my hair.
"It's OK. I'm just glad nothing happened to you." I answered, completely relaxing as I was lying against him.
