Logan was in his school library, concentrating on getting as much work done as possible. It was mostly quiet in the room, aside from the occasional whispers to friends. Logan didn't pay any attention to the sounds, staring down at his homework silently.

It wasn't until he heard someone muttering to himself one table over that Logan glanced up. There was another guy sitting at the table, frowning down at his math text book. Logan watched him for a moment, examining him. He certainly wasn't bad looking, Logan noticed.

He continued to listen in as the other student mumbled stuff to himself. After a few minutes Logan saw him grin, and heard him softly whisper. "Hey! I actually get it now."

Logan couldn't help but smile with him, happy for him although they didn't know each other. He watched the student scribble down answers to his homework's questions. When he finished that, looking proud of himself, he flipped the page over and instantly his face fell. "Okay," he muttered, sighing. "What the fuck is all of this..?"

Logan chuckled, face burning in embarrassment as the other student heard him. He looked up and over at Logan, catching him staring. Logan, not knowing what to do, cleared his throat and glanced away.

When he looked back the boy he had been laughing at had his head in his hands, and the tips of his ears had turned red. Logan felt bad. Not only was he having a difficult time figuring things out, Logan had just laughed at him and probably embarrassed him. He glanced down at his own work, deciding that he had done enough of it and closing his book. Gathering up his things, Logan stood to walk away from his table.

The embarrassed student looked up in confusion as he heard someone clear their throat right next to him. His face turned even darker red upon seeing Logan, who was frowning down at him.

"I... apologize, for laughing. I did not mean to embarrass you." He explained honestly, glancing around the room as he asked his next question. "Would you... like some help? With your homework. I am pretty good at math, and wouldn't mind helping out if you need it."

Looking shocked for a moment, the boy just stared at Logan, wondering why he had come over. After a moment he slowly nodded, a small smile on his lips. "That would be very nice, thank you. What is your name?"

"Logan." Logan smiled at him, offering his hand for the other to shake as he sat down beside of him. "And you are?"

"Roman." He replied with a grin, shaking his hand. "And you're positive you don't mind helping me out?"

"Well, I have already completed all of my work, and I do not have anywhere else to be at this moment, so yes. I am happy to assist you." Logan nodded, and Roman thanked him again, pointing out what he didn't understand in the book.

Logan stayed and helped him out for a while, neither of them realizing the time that had passed. At some point their conversation had shifted from schoolwork to simply talking and getting to know each other, joking and laughing. Every now and then they had to be reminded to be quiet, as they kept forgetting that they happened to be in a library.

When Roman did finally look up at the clock his eyes widened, and he sat up quickly. "I'm sorry, I just remembered I have somewhere to be."

"Don't apologize. It's alright." Logan offered him a smile, attempting to hide his disappointment. He wasn't sure why he felt disappointed, he had only met Roman that day. Their conversation was going to end eventually, and the two of them would probably never cross paths again.

"Still, I've had a lot of fun talking to you. I really don't want to leave." Roman laughed, Logan nodding and laughing with him.

"I don't want our conversation to end either." He admitted, a small shy smile on his lips. Roman's wide grin suddenly appeared again as he had an idea.

"Well, why don't you give me your number? I'd like to take you out sometime. As a thank you, for helping me figure all this out." Roman suggested, his cheeks a light pink. "And, well... I would also just like to see you again."

"That, uh... sounds nice." Logan smiled back, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves. He told Roman his number, watching him put it into his phone. Before he got up to leave Roman typed something on his phone, telling Logan he would text him so he could save his number as well, also telling him not to look at it until Roman had left.

After sending it Roman gathered up his things, saying goodbye to Logan and thanking him once more before heading out of the door. Logan watched him go, and when he was no longer visible pulled out his phone to look at the message he had been sent. He laughed, shaking his head as he read the words 'see you later, nerd' followed by a winking face and a heart.

He definitely couldn't wait to see Roman again.
