Sorry for the random disappearing lol, felt like shit, I should be good now. Or better, anyways

Patton laughed as he pulled yet another heart shaped candy out of the bag he was currently sharing with Virgil. The two of them were sat on the couch together, Logan and Roman gone doing their own things. Patton had invited Virgil to spend time with him, just to talk and share the Valentine's Day themed candy he had bought.

After reading the message on the heart he turned it around to show it to Virgil, grinning widely at him. Virgil read the heart, cheeks heating up as he shook his head. Patton kept showing him hearts, the ones that said things like "you're awesome!" and "too cool!" Each one was a different silly compliment, and Virgil hated that he was blushing over them. They were just stupid messages on candy, but the fact that Patton thought of him as any of these things made him feel embarrassed, but happy.

Patton laughed as Virgil tried to brush off the compliment, insisting that it was true and giving him the heart. "Oh, c'mon Virge! You're the best."

Virgil took the heart, sighing grumpily and shaking his head. "Fine. Thanks, I guess..."

He decided to repay the compliment by searching for his own heart to show Patton. Of course, the first one he pulled out of the bag would be one that said "I love you." Silently debating whether or not he should give him that one, Virgil eventually decided that he might as well. He wasn't worried about it being taken as a confession either-Patton would take it as platonic love, even if he did secretly feel a romantic love for the bubbly side.

Virgil didn't look directly at Patton as he held out the heart, letting Patton take it from him to look at it. His cheeks burned even more when Patton audibly awed at the message, grinning at Virgil and trying to meet his eyes. "I love you too, Virge!"

After a few minutes of Patton continuing to go on about how adorable he was and Virgil insisting that they move on, they finally went back to eating candy hearts and talking. While Virgil was talking about something Patton reached to grab another candy heart pulling one out and reading the message. He paused, cheeks the slightest bit pink and seeming to consider something. Virgil hadn't noticed this, too absorbed in what he was talking about, so he was confused when Patton suddenly nudged his shoulder and held a heart out.

Pausing in the middle of what he was saying, Virgil frowned and took the heart from Patton. After doing so and reading the message he felt his cheeks light up as well, turning to Patton nervously. Patton just offered a shy grin, and Virgil looked from him back down to the candy heart that read "kiss me."

Virgil turned back to Patton, giving him an awkward smile of his own and leaning down to press a short kiss to his cheek. He assumed that was all Patton had expected, and while he had gotten his hopes up for a moment he knew that surely that wasn't what he meant. However, as soon as Virgil pulled back he saw a frown form on Patton's lips.

"You missed," he mumbled, and Virgil was confused. Instead of answering him, Patton lifted a hand to cup Virgil's face in his hand, slowly leaning in closer to him. Virgil was surprised, but his eyes soon fluttered shut as he realized what was happening, leaning up the rest of the way to meet him. The kiss was sweet, and it didn't last very long but it still managed to leave them breathless. When it ended Patton kept his forehead pressed against Virgil's, opening his eyes and smiling at him. Virgil smiled back nervously, happy, but still confused. Where had that come from?

"I love you, Virgil," Patton spoke softly, thumb brushing his cheek as he looked fondly at him. Virgil looked to the ground, drawing in a deep breath to calm himself down.

"I... love you too, Pat." He glanced up briefly with a small smile, and Patton grinned back at him. He leaned in to peck his lips again, telling him he was glad he felt the same.

Getting another idea, Patton searched through the candy bag again. It took him a minute to find what he was looking for, Virgil waiting and watching him in confusion, but when he finally found a specific heart candy he handed it over to Virgil. Virgil couldn't help but laugh as he looked down at the heart that read "Be mine?"

Pulling Patton into a hug Virgil nodded his head with a smile. "Of course."

If you've messaged me at any point in January, I'm sorry??? This has been an awful month, I haven't been talking to like, anyone. I literally haven't done anything cause I've felt so bad, but I'm trying to get better so, y'know, I should be better about responding to things. I hope so, at least, just... forgive me. If I haven't responded it's not cause I don't want to, just been hard to do anything lately. Am I making sense? I dunno, doubt it, okay moving on cause I'd rather not blabber on about my shit-

Anyways, may be slower updates still for a bit cause I'm... y'know, still not doing too great, but I'll try. I'm gonna get off now to sleep tho, so thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed it. *
