Requested.

To say Virgil was nervous would be an understatement; he was terrified.

Roman and him had been in a relationship for a while now. It felt like forever ago that the overly dramatic man he had fallen in love with had asked him out on a date. Since then the two had been incredibly happy, and while they had their ups and down just as everyone else did, the two knew that they loved each other more than anything.

Virgil knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with the man that he loved, and that's what led him to where he was now. Standing in front of the mirror in the twos shared bedroom, trying to talk himself into finally leaving the room to ask Roman to marry him. He took a deep breath, eyes shut tightly as he thought to himself, just go.

Though it took a moment for his legs to finally listen and move him into the living room, he finally found himself standing in the doorway. He stayed silent for a moment, listening to Roman as he sang the lyrics to a Disney song. He drew in yet another shaky breath, wiping his sweaty palms on his jeans. His legs suddenly felt like jelly, but somehow he managed to make it over to Roman, tapping him on the shoulder.

Roman jumped, a startled gasp cutting off his singing. He put a hand over his heart as he faced Virgil, shocked expression melting into a soft smile. He laughed at himself, pulling Virgil into a hug and kissing the top of his head. "You scared me! How are you today, my dear?"

Virgil let out a sigh as he relaxed into the hug, head resting on Roman's shoulder. He felt slightly more relaxed in Roman's arms. It was safe and warm, and he made Virgil so happy. "'M fine. You?"

"Excellent, now that you're around." Roman chuckled, and Virgil shook his head at him. However, he had a small smile on his lips that proved he was anything but annoyed at his hopefully soon-to-be fiancé.

"I have something to ask you," Virgil mumbled, feeling his nerves returning. Roman immediately pulled back from the hug to look at his face, frowning. He could tell Virgil was nervous, and he wondered what was troubling him.

"Is something wrong?" He wondered, and Virgil quickly shook his head.

"N-no, it's a... good question. I think. I mean, I hope that you don't-well-you know, it's just..." Virgil cut himself off, nervously tugging his sleeves down over his hands, the weight of the ring in his pocket only making him more anxious. "Just... g-give me a second..."

Roman waited patiently as Virgil put a hand in his pocket, fingers drumming against the rings box as he tried to work up the courage to pull it out. He briefly considered backing out, telling Roman it was nothing and moving on with his life. Then Virgil thought about how much he loved Roman and wanted to spend his life with him, and he was down on one knee before the thought to back out could cross his mind a second time.

"S-so... Roman, I love y-you more than any-anything, and, and I-uh, well..." He started, cursing himself silently for stuttering so much. He couldn't bring himself to look up at Roman yet, so he had no idea how he was reacting. "I re-realized that I want to... I want to be with you, for the r-rest of our lives..."

He slowly brought his hand out of his pocket with the ring box, opening it up and holding it out for Roman to see. "R-Roman, would-will you... m-marry me?"

Virgil finally managed to look up to Roman, his hands shaking. He relaxed a little when he saw Roman smiling down at him, yelping when he was suddenly being dragged up into a tight hug. Very slowly he relaxed into the hug yet again, wrapping his arms back around Roman and sighing.

"I love you too, Virgil. You're adorable-of course I'll marry you." He laughs, and Virgil was positive nothing could ever make him as happy as he was in that moment. He pulled back from their hug just enough to see Roman's face, pulling him into a kiss. Neither of them could keep the smiles off their faces as they held each other close, Virgil silently slipping the ring onto Roman.

"I love you," Virgil mumbled again after pulling back from their kiss.

"I love you too," Roman mumbled, bringing him in again for another kiss from his fiancé.

I hope you liked this!!! Also technically it's 5AM so not at night but I haven't slept yet so I'm counting it lmao. It would have been done a lot sooner but I got very distracted so, sorry.

Before today I had heard of gray-asexual, but knew basically nothing about it, and today I found out that that actually fits for me, which is really cool and nice.

I also know I said it's 5AM and I've been exhausted literally all day bc of traveling and stuff but I'm probably gonna upload at least one more oneshot tonight, so hopefully that'll be done soon. That ones also a request, and then I have one more to finish and that should be it as long as I get no more. (But feel free to give me more-just know it may take me a while. I have school again starting tomorrow, and also my other books to update)

So, I'm gonna go try and finish that one now. Thanks for reading, I hope that you enjoyed this. *you come home from school and go to your room to cry but Thomas and the Sanders Sides come in and give you ring pops*
