The train moved along the tracks it seemed almost silently, except for the occasional horn blow. Ian Hecox sat in the back of the Bar car enjoying the peace, he took a drink of his beer and sighed. It had been a long journey and it wasn't done yet as far as he was concerned. As he had his drink he looked around at the people in the car with him and silently wondered where they were going and where they've been. He was going...honestly, he really didn't have a destination in mind, he just wanted to put as much distance between himself and his old life as he could. He had finally decided to leave, knowing it was that or he'd risk losing himself. So, to do it he had walked, drove, flown by plane, gone by boat, and now he was on a train. As for his lack of a destination...he didn't care, he knew he'd know when he got there and he hasn't yet.

Meanwhile, in the Dining car, Anthony Padilla was getting frustrated by the fact that he couldn't find a seat in the unusually overcrowded car. Finally, he gave up and decided to go have a drink in the Bar car; even though he knew he'd regret it. He went in and looked around at all the people who were busy with their conversations. Smiling, he went to the bar and ordered a beer, as soon as he did his phone rang, he took it out of his pocket and answered it; it was his best friend/brother Shayne Topp.

"Hello?" Anthony said, as he was handed his beer.

 "Hey, man."

"Hey, Shayne. Didn't I just talk to you two hours ago?"

"Yeah, but I wanted you to remind me one more time, why you decided to take a train instead of flying?" Shayne asked.

"Look, Shayne, I'll tell you again for the last time. I just needed to relax and unwind, it's been a long month and I think this is exactly what I need." Anthony explained, as he took a drink of his beer.

"Okay, okay, man. Enjoy the ride; I'll see you when you get home." Shayne replied.

"Okay, man, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Night, Shayne."

"Night, Anthony." Shayne replied, as they hung up.

"Can I get a glass of whiskey, please?" Anthony asked smiling, as he put his phone away.

Anthony didn't usually drink very much, but he wasn't driving and he didn't have to work in the morning, so why the hell not; he deserved it. After getting his drink he thanked the bartender, before he stood leaning against the bar and thought back to his phone call with Shayne. They've been friends since they met in high school, they clicked the moment they met and have been best friends all their lives. They live and work together at a Real Estate agency, there was nothing they didn't know about each other.

Anthony had just spent two weeks nursing his sick mother back to health, now that she was better she insisted he go home to his life. Feeling exhausted and unlike himself, his mother suggested he take a train home, so that's what he did. He boarded the train and faced five long nights and six long days...it sounded like Heaven. Anthony wasn't sure why he felt like he did, he loved everything about his life; his job and especially Shayne. Lately, though, he's been feeling like something was missing and before it affected his job or friendship with Shayne, he needed to figure it out and deal with it. He was brought out of his thoughts by the bartender asking him if he'd like another drink, Anthony smiled and ordered a beer this time. After getting his beer, he looked around and saw an empty booth at the back of the car. He headed to it and sat down sighing, before he opened his beer and took a drink.

Ian took a drink of his beer, before he began to absently tap out a rhythm on the table with his hands. He didn't notice he was doing it, until a voice spoke from behind him about it.

"I do that too when I'm bored, but you might want to stop before someone who doesn't like it tells you to knock it off." The male voice suggested.

Ian rolled his eyes and turned around ready to tell the annoying prick off, he opened his mouth to speak, but stopped coming face to face with the most gorgeous man he had ever seen and for once in his life Ian Hecox was speechless. Anthony, froze too when the man turned around, he was the most gorgeous man Anthony had ever seen and for a few seconds, he forgot how to speak. Anthony smiled, and Ian smiled back, as he took another drink of his beer, before still smiling, he burped in Anthony's face. Ian then still smiling, turned back around in his booth, Anthony spoke.

"Thanks, no, really, I needed that." Anthony said annoyed.

"Look, Einstein." Ian said annoyed, as he turned to look at him. "This is, if you haven't noticed, the Bar car."

"Really? Wow, I'm glad you cleared that up for me, I never would have guessed that on my own. I mean the all the people with drinks in their hands and the drunk people passed out in their booths never would have given it away. Thanks, for the info, man." Anthony teased smiling.

"Look, Jerk-Off, if the drinking is bugging your fragile personality, why aren't you in the damn Dining car?" Ian questioned.

"Because, I was having a bad night and thought I'd come in here and make it even better, by finding someone; like you, to treat me like a piece of shit. Thank you, for making my night so much better." Anthony answered, as he turned away looking out the window, and took a drink of his beer.

"All the seats taken?" Ian questioned smiling.

"Yeah, how'd you guess?" Anthony asked, as he looked back at him smiling.

"Seen it before." Ian replied shrugging, before he turned around.

The rest of the time they were in the car they didn't speak to each other anymore. As Anthony sat alone, two men he didn't know came up to him, thinking he was someone else. After realizing their mistake, they apologized and went to leave, but Anthony invited them to join him in his booth and they accepted. The entire time they talked, Ian listened to every word they said; pretending he wasn't. Anthony knew he was though, and every once in a while he'd sneak glances at him and smile, all of it unnoticed by Ian. At 2 am, Ian decided to go to bed, he finished his beer and while Anthony was in the middle of a conversation, he snuck away, accidentally leaving his pocket watch; that had his initials IH on it, on the table. It was very special to him; he never noticed it was missing.

An hour later, Anthony told his new friends he was tired and was going to bed. After good-nights, the two men got up and left the car. Smiling, Anthony turned to talk to Ian, but found him gone, not even sure when he left, and was very disappointed. He sighed, as he got up to leave too, when he noticed Ian's watch on the table, smiling, he picked it up. He stood looking at it, waiting...hoping that he'd return for it. After a few seconds, he realized that he wasn't coming back for it, he must have accidentally forgotten it.

Not wanting someone else to take it, Anthony decided to hold onto it for him and return it tomorrow. He left the car and headed to his bunk, once there he changed for bed, when he was finished he climbed into the small bed and lay on his back, one arm under his head, the other held the watch. As he played with it, he couldn't stop smiling, he was attracted to the brown-haired, blue-eyed man with glasses, who owned it. It wasn't just his looks that Anthony was attracted to, it was also his personality too. He knew it wouldn't be easy to get to know the man, but he liked a challenge and he wouldn't quit until he knew him better.

Yawning, the alcohol finally hitting him, he put the watch on the small table beside the bed and turned out the light. He rolled onto his side facing the wall, closed his eyes and the mystery man's face appeared, causing him to smile. He sighed sleepily, as he felt sleep taking over him the last thing he saw was the man's face, his last thought was that he would get to know him, even if he had to play the man's games to do it...game on.
