Ian sat in his car in the driveway of Shayne's house. He had been sitting in his car for the last 10 minutes, both hands gripping the wheel, as he starred at the house, trying and failing to get up the courage to knock on the door and talk to Anthony. As he sat there he thought back to how he had lost the man he loved more than anything else in the world all because of his own stupid jealousy. His thoughts were interrupted by someone knocking on his window, scaring him. He turned his head and noticed it was Shayne, smiling he put his window down and spoke.
"Hey, Shayne." Ian greeted him. "You scared the crap out of me, dude."
"Sorry, man, I didn't mean to, I thought you saw me coming. What are you doing here?" Shayne asked.
"I...I'm taking your advice actually."
"My advice? When the hell did I give you the advice to sit in your car and watch Anthony like some creepy stalker?" Shayne questioned, as they laughed. "Seriously, Ian, just talk to him, he misses you as much as you do him."
"It's not that easy, Shayne." Ian said sighing, as he leaned back and put his head against the seat, closing his eyes.
"Ian, I know Anthony and he'll understand and forgive you. All you have to do is talk to him."
"Shayne, I accused him of cheating on me with you. How can a simple apology fix that?"
"You won't know until you talk to him." Shayne insisted.
"Save your breath, I'm not interested in listening to anything you have to say, Ian." Anthony spoke angrily from behind them.
"Anthony!" Ian and Shayne said together surprised to see him.
"You're right about one thing though, Hecox. A simple apology won't fix this, and I'm not having this conversation." Anthony said angrily.
"Anthony, wait, at least let..."
"Stay out of it, Shayne." Anthony said, cutting him off. "Just...just leave Ian, please." He added, before he turned and walked back into the house.
"Ian, I'm sorry. I..."
"Shayne, don't. It's okay, I did this and now I have to deal with the consequences." Ian said sadly, cutting him off. "Thanks for trying, I...I'll see you later." He added, before he started his car and drove away.
**A Week Later**:
Anthony sat in his office at his gym trying and failing to distract himself with work, he sighed as he ran his hands over his face, unable to stop thinking of Ian. He thought Ian trusted him, like he trusted Ian, but he learned that all along Ian didn't trust him at all and it hurt him deeply.
"Anthony?" Shayne said gently, as he came into Anthony's office.
"Yeah?"
"You've been in here all day, man. You okay?" He asked, as he sat across from him.
"Uh, yeah, I'm fine." Anthony answered. "Just trying to catch up on all this damn paperwork."
"Really? Is that why you've been staring at the same page since this morning; upside down too?" Shayne asked, as he turned the paper the right way. "Anthony, you're obviously not okay. Just talk to me." He added gently.
