Damien paced outside, a radio held tightly in his hand, as he waited for Shayne to come back from talking to their Captain. Damien stopped pacing and sat down on the curb, staring at the now silent radio; their only connection right now to Ian, who was trapped inside a school after a bomb they were searching for exploded. Damien sighed shakily, as he held the radio so tight his knuckles were white and began to think back to how this whole nightmare started. His thoughts were interrupted by Shayne returning to him, Damien stood and spoke impatiently.

"Well, are they going in now?"

"Nope, they're still waiting for the damn bomb squad to get here!" Shayne answered angrily.

 "What?" Damien said upset.

"Those bastards were supposed to be here 15 minutes ago! When Captain Stone radioed them to find out where they were, they told him they were 10 minutes out...still!" Shayne explained.

"He's running out of time, Shayne!" Damien said upset.

"We'll get him out, Dames, even if we have to go in there ourselves!" Shayne reassured him, before they hugged.

**Meanwhile With Ian**:

Ian slowly opened his eyes; he must have passed out again, he had no idea how long he'd been out this time. His radio was silent, he closed his eyes sighing, grateful that he didn't have to pretend he was doing okay for Damien and Shayne's sake. He was weak, hot, and his entire body felt like one giant exposed nerve! He squeezed his eyes shut, as he tried to move into a slightly less painful position, but because of the debris trapping him all he managed to do was cause himself more pain. He took a deep breath to try and get through the pain, but that caused him to start coughing; which only made the pain worse! He was beginning to lose feeling in his right leg, which he knew had been broken in the explosion and he was for the first time in his life scared! Knowing that panicking was the worst thing he could do, he closed his eyes and thought about his brothers to help calm him down.

He felt a tear fall, as he kept his eyes closed, he pictured his brother and boyfriend and he instantly felt himself relax. Throughout the years he's been lucky to have known his brothers they've both always been his strength and backbone. They've kept him grounded and kept his crazy ass from doing stupid shit, they were the only ones Ian's ever let into his heart; Damien the first person Ian's ever loved romantically! He felt another tear fall, his heart broke as he thought about how he was going to leave them, at least, he could take comfort knowing that they had each other to get through this.

 "Ian?" Shayne's scared voice spoke.

"He...hey, Shayne." Ian replied quietly, eyes still closed, smiling weakly.

"How are you doing, Ian?" Shayne asked, trying to hide the fear in his voice.

"Hanging in there. How are you and Dames?"

"We're working on getting you out, Ian, okay? Just hang in there a little longer alright?"

"I will, but I...I'm so tired, Shayne, I just want to sleep."

"No, Ian, listen to me! You have to stay awake, talk to me, come on, dude!" Shayne practically yelled at him.

"Sh...Shayne, do you re...remember our fishing trip last summer?" Ian asked.

"How could I forget? That was the trip we ran into that mother bear and her two cubs!" Shayne answered, as they both laughed at the memory. "I've never seen Damien run so damn fast before!"
