Love Hurts Pt4 (Shaymien)

 Shayne sat in the beautiful garden, he sighed, as he closed his eyes and turned his face towards the sky. This was his go-to place whenever he needed to think, it had a calming effect on him for some reason.

 Today; like every other day for the last two months, he thought about his past and of the two people he had left behind, Damien and Ian. It's been two months now since he left and went to rehab, at first, it was hard not only being away from his brothers, but also to not drink. Shayne refused to give up though, he needed to prove to not only his brothers, but more importantly to himself, that he was stronger than his drinking. He worked hard, doing whatever he had to, to fight his demons, and slowly as the days passed he began to make progress. The only part that never got any easier was being away from Damien and Ian; he wrote them both letters every day, starting from his first night there, but he never sent any of them. His thoughts were interrupted by his Doctor coming out to the garden looking for him, he sat beside Shayne and smiling spoke.

 "I've been looking all over for you, I was beginning to think you were avoiding me."

 "No, I just needed to think." Shayne answered smiling.

 "I thought you'd like to know how the phone call went."

 "Did...did you talk to both of them?" Shayne asked nervously.

 "I did."

 "Doctor Stone, I...I appreciate what you're trying to do for me, but..."

 "Shayne, they're both coming!" Doctor Stone said smiling, cutting him off.

 "What? They...they are?"

 "Yes, both of your brothers are coming here in two days to see you."

 "I...I don't know if I'm ready to see them!" Shayne said nervously, as he stood and began pacing.

 "Shayne, stop." Doctor Stone said gently, but firmly, as he stood and smiling he spoke. "You aren't the same man you were two months ago. It's time to see them and talk to them."

 "You're right, thanks, Doc." Shayne said smiling, he only hoped Doctor Stone was right.

**Two Days Later**:

 Damien paced the hotel room nervously, he had come to town with Ian to see Shayne after receiving a phone call from a Doctor Stone about their brother. It had been a hard two months for them, they had no idea where Shayne was or if he was even okay and both were so worried. Damien healed slowly from his injuries with Ian's help, but they both missed and still loved Shayne; especially Damien. They had no contact with him of any kind and told their boss, Mr. Fields, that he had gone home to his parents for a family emergency.

 It wasn't until they received the call from Stone, that they learned the truth about where he had been all of this time. They had listened to everything the Doctor told them, asked many questions, and by the end of the call both were so damn proud of Shayne for getting help and beating his demons. When Stone had brought up them coming to see Shayne, neither of them hesitated to say yes. Now, here they were getting ready to go see their brother, Damien was so nervous. He loved Shayne as much as he always had, but after months of abuse and almost losing his life because of Shayne, he was afraid of him. Ian wanted to see Shayne, but he had made it clear to Damien, if he didn't want to go, then he'd call and cancel, but Damien knew he had to do this to be able to move on. His thoughts were interrupted by Ian coming out of the bathroom.

 "You ready to go, D?" Ian asked.

 "Yeah, I'm ready." Damien answered.

 "Damien, if you don't want to go, we won't. Just say the word and I'll cancel."

 "Thanks, Ian, but I'm okay...nervous as hell, but I need to do this." Damien answered smiling sadly.

 "Alright, but any time, while we're there you're done, just let me know and I'll end the visit." Ian said, as he hugged Damien. "I love you."

 "I love you too, Ian."

 "Come on, let's go." Ian said smiling.

**Later**:

 Shayne sat alone in the garden, trying to clear his mind and stop being nervous. He didn't sleep well the night before and was up before the sun rose this morning, he was so nervous, he had no idea if they still hated him or if they'd be able to forgive him.

 "Shayne?" Doctor Stone said from behind him.

 "Yeah?" Shayne answered, as he turned around and froze seeing Doctor Stone standing there with Damien and Ian.

 "Hi, Shayne." Ian said quietly.

 "H-hi, guys. I...I'm so..." Shayne began, but was cut off by both his brothers hugging him in a three-way hug.

 Shayne held both his brothers tight, as all three cried silently. Shayne was so grateful that they had come, so he could apologize, he knew it would take more than a simple apology to fix everything he's said and done to his brothers, but at least it was a start.

 "I'm going to go and let you three talk, come find me later I'll be in my office."

 "Thank you, Doctor Stone...for everything." Shayne said smiling, before he left.

 "You're looking good, Shayne." Damien said nervously.

 "Thanks, I feel good, D. You two look great too." Shayne answered.

 "Thanks." Ian said smiling. "We've missed you, Shayne." He said, before he hugged him again.

 "I've missed you." Shayne replied sadly, when the hug ended. "Damien, I..."

 Shayne never got to finish his sentence, Damien hugging him again cut him off. This was what Shayne had only dreamed of since he left, but knew until he talked to them and apologized they could never truly move on.

 "Damien, Ian, we need to talk."

 "We know." Damien replied, taking Shayne's hand.

 "Let's sit, there's a lot I want to say to both of you." Shayne said, as they sat.

 As Shayne looked at his brothers, he saw only love and forgiveness in their eyes and knew that no matter what they went through, they'd always stick together and come out of it stronger than ever! He held both of their hands and took a deep breath, he felt both his brothers squeeze his hands gently and he looked at them. All three shared a smile, and Shayne knew he was the luckiest man in the entire world and today was the start of their new beginning!
