Shayne waited anxiously in the hallway of the Police station, outside of an interview room with Damien, Ian, Connor, and Greene. They were talking, before they went into the room to see Courtney. Shayne couldn't wait to see her, to hold her again after being unable to since she was falsely arrested yesterday. He felt like a failure as a boyfriend, he wasn't able to keep her safe. He sighed, as he leaned against the wall and ran his hands over his face, trying to focus on what Greene was saying to them, but instead, he thought about everything that's happened and how this nightmare began. His thoughts were interrupted by Greene calling his name.

 "Shayne?"

"Yeah?" Shayne answered, as he looked at him.

 "Are you okay?" Greene asked.

"I won't be okay, until Courtney's free and back with us." Shayne answered bitterly.

"I haven't lost a case yet, gentlemen, and I don't plan on starting now. In fact, because of how much corruption I've witnessed, I'm going to talk to my bosses about starting a full investigation into it." Greene said smiling.

"Will it stop Courtney from being falsely accused of murder?" Ian asked, not wanting to get his hopes up.

"It will and not only that, but it'll also bring down everyone involved, no matter who they are, they aren't free from persecution; if they're crooked and involved, they're going down too. I'm going to make a few phone calls while you're with Courtney and get things started."

"Do...do you think it'll work?" Damien asked. "Do you really think you'll be able to take on that much power?"

"Not alone no, but once I talk to my bosses; who have done things like this in the past and won, they'll know the right people to get involved. Okay, you guys go in and see Courtney, I'll be in after my phone calls."

After Greene left, they went into the room, Courtney was sitting at the table, her arms on the table and her head was on her arms. She didn't hear them come in, Shayne's heart broke seeing how defeated she looked, and fought his tears knowing he had to be strong for her, she needed him now more than ever.

"Courtney?" Shayne said gently, so they didn't scare her.

"S-Shayne?" Courtney said, as she quickly looked up.

 "Hey, Court." Ian greeted her.

"Ian, Damien, Connor?" She said, looking at them, purposely keeping her face hidden from them, not wanting them to see her injuries. "How did you get in here? Wait, you...you didn't break in here did you?" She asked worried, as she stood.

"Relax, babe." Shayne said, as he hugged her. "We didn't break-in." He added, as he laughed softly. "We came here with Greene, he got us two hours alone with you."

"Really?" She asked smiling, as she pulled away and hugged Ian, Damien, and Connor.

 "Yep." Ian answered smiling.

"How are you holding up, Court?" Damien asked, as they sat down.

"Better, now that you guys are here." She answered, as she took Shayne's hand.

"How was your night in solitary?" Ian asked.

 "Uh..."

"Wait, why won't you look at us, Courtney?" Connor asked, when she trailed off.
