Ian sat in bed, finishing some paperwork he had brought home from his job as a Real Estate Agent. As he worked, his boyfriend Anthony was downstairs watching TV, with his best friend/brother Shayne. Ian sighed, as he rubbed his hands over his face, he put his pen down and leaned back against the headboard, as he began to think of his life and how screwed up it was now that Shayne was back. He had tried getting the courage up to tell Anthony how he felt, but never could not wanting to hurt him. So, three months later Shayne's still living with them and Ian was still suffering in silence. His thoughts were interrupted by Anthony coming into the room, closing the door behind him. He quickly got changed, before he got into bed and began kissing Ian's neck, he smiled, as he turned to look at Anthony and spoke.
"You're making it very hard to concentrate on my work."
"Good." Anthony said between kisses. "My plan's working then."
"Anthony, I need to finish this paperwork, babe." Ian stated, trying not to give in.
"Do it tomorrow, do me now." Anthony said, still kissing him.
"Screw it." Ian replied, as he put his paperwork on the nightstand, before he pulled Anthony in for a kiss.
As they began undressing each other Shayne knocked on the door, they tried to ignore it, but Anthony couldn't and got up throwing his shorts on, before he answered it.
"Sorry, to interrupt, Anthony...hey, Ian." Shayne said smiling, as he peeked his head into the room and waved to him. "I was going to have a shower, but there's no hot water." He explained.
"Damn tank must be acting up again. I'll be back in a few minutes, baby boy, to finish what we started." Anthony said smiling.
"I'll be here, finishing my work." Ian replied frustrated, as he faked a smile.
"Night, Ian." Shayne said, before they left.
It was official, Shayne was trying to take Anthony from him. He refused to give the man he loved up without a fight; especially to Shayne.
**Days Later**:
Time passed and even though Ian liked Shayne, he wanted him out of their house, it was pissing him off that Shayne was still living with them. Needing to escape for a while; while Anthony was out running errands and Shayne was...well, he had no idea where he was and really didn't care. He changed into some old clothes and went to his art room to paint. He turned on his music as he started painting, getting lost in it like he always did. He was so busy painting, that he never noticed Shayne come into the room, until he spoke.
"Wow, Ian. Did you paint all of these?" Shayne asked, as he looked at the many paintings Ian had done.
"Uh, yeah." Ian answered, as he turned off his music.
"These are amazing, Ian. These remind me of the ones Anthony has at the gym."
"That's because I painted those too. Thanks though."
"Wow, dude, you're as good as those old, dead, famous painters." Shayne said smiling.
"Uh, thanks." Ian replied smiling at the compliment. "I thought you were out?"
"I was, but I'm back and I have some great news I wanted to share with you and Anthony. Where is he anyway?"
"Right here, Shayne." Anthony said smiling, as he came into the room. "So, what's your great news?"
"Well, first off, I want to thank both of you for letting me stay here while I found a place of my own."
"You don't need to thank us, Shayne, it was nothing. Right, Ian?" Anthony said smiling.
"Of course." Ian answered.
"Secondly, I met with your friend David today, and he showed me some places and I found one I liked. I signed the lease this afternoon and it's officially mine...well, technically I'm renting the apartment, but you guys get what I'm saying."
"That's awesome, man." Anthony said smiling, before he hugged Shayne.
"Congrats, Shayne." Ian added smiling.
"Thanks, I can move in this weekend."
"We'll help." Anthony offered.
"Thanks, oh, Ian?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think I can buy a couple of your paintings for my new place?" Shayne asked.
"You don't need to buy them, think of them as a housewarming gift." Ian answered smiling.
"Thanks, man. I better go start packing." Anthony said, before he left the room.
"Just think, baby boy, soon we'll have the house all to ourselves again." Anthony said smiling, as he went to him and held Ian close.
"I can't wait to get you alone, Mr. Padilla." Ian replied, before he kissed him. "I love you, Anthony."
"I love you too, Ian." Anthony said smiling, before he kissed him again. "You get back to your painting, I'm going to go help Shayne pack."
**Days Later/Moving Day**:
Ian grabbed the last of the boxes and loaded them into the small truck that Shayne had rented to move. Even though Shayne was only moving out of their house, Ian was still happy. At least now, he could have some much-needed overdue alone time with Anthony. He had tonight all planned out; first, they'd have a romantic dinner, and then afterward they were going to do what they do best in bed. Ian could hardly wait, he went back into the house and went to his art room, where he grabbed the four paintings he had wrapped that he was giving to Shayne. Once he had them, he went back downstairs, he was about to go outside when he saw Anthony and Shayne standing by the truck talking. He watched as they stood close, Shayne touched Anthony's back and Ian became angry. It was bad enough that Shayne was back, had lived with them, but now he was flirting with Anthony where Ian could find them. Ian took a deep breath, before he went outside smiling, Anthony saw him and smiling went to him and took the paintings from Ian, kissing him.
"I'll put these in my car." Anthony said, as he went to his car.
"They're wrapped pretty well, babe, they'll be okay in the truck." Ian said smiling.
"Nope, I don't want anything to happen to them, they'll ride with us." Anthony replied, as he carefully put them on his backseat.
"Okay, everything's loaded, let's hit the road." Shayne said smiling.
"You're sure the furniture you bought will be at the apartment waiting for us when we get there?" Anthony asked again for the fifth time that day.
"Yes, Anthony, I called this morning and made sure." Shayne answered smiling.
"Alright then, Ian and I will meet you there." Anthony said, as Shayne got into the truck and left.
They got into Anthony's car and began to follow Shayne, as Ian looked out the window he smiled. This was going to be the start of a new period in their lives. Shayne wasn't completely gone, but at least he wasn't living with them, which helped Ian relax a little. He didn't want to come between Anthony and Shayne's friendship, but he also didn't want to lose Anthony; the man he loved more than anything in the world. He'd show Anthony how much he meant to him and hope that that was enough.
