I heard Dean end the phone call, as Max snuck into the kitchen with his Dad. I stood by the door, eavesdropping into their conversation.

"Daddy, I'm hungry, can we go home?" Max complained. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the two of them. I knew that as much as I disliked the both of them, I couldn't stand by and let them go back to their house when it was in such a state.

"We can go to Burger King for tea if you like buddy." I overheard Dean say, as I felt my heart break into two, at the thought of what they would have to go through if they went home tonight.

"You can stay and have tea with the two of us, if you like." I announced as I swung the door open, and they both looked a little taken back my sudden outburst. "I mean, if you want. You can't exactly go back to your house at the moment. You can sleep as well until everything is fixed maybe."

"Only if you're sure." I nodded in response, rather eagerly. "Why are you being so nice to me Danielle?"

Suddenly there was a bit of an awkward silence, as my heart rate felt like it had gone through the roof.

"Honestly, I really like you Dean, and I want to help the two of you, like deep down I know that you would help us." Dean froze on the spot, as I tried to read his face for some sort of emotion and expression. "How about you go and get some stuff for the two of you, and Max can stay here and wait for you to come back." Dean nodded and walked out the door and over to his house.

Max and Gabby were sat in the living room looking through all the DVDs that were on the vintage shelf in the corner of the room. There was a rough knock on the door as I walked over and Dean looked at me sweetly holding three bags. "You didn't have to knock you know, this is your home for now after all."

Dean smiled great fully, still not talking to me after what I told him earlier.

Later on, once we'd all eaten our Burger King, we sat down together on the sofas with blankets over us all. "Can I use the shower please?" Dean asked. Clearly Finding Memo wasn't exactly a grown mans favourite film to watch, so I could understand how desperate he was to leave.

"Upstairs, second door on the right, towels are in the bottom drawer in there." Gabby was resting on my chest, with her blanket under her head. Max was on the other sofa, staring over at us lonely. I couldn't help but open my arm out for him to come in and give me a hug, and make him feel loved.

Dean's POV

I walked out from the bathroom after a steaming hot shower and down stairs to see Finding Nemo still on, and two kids laying flat out on Danielle, as little snores escaped their mouths. I picked Max up and saw Danielle's face. She looked extremely tired, and so I picked Gabby up too, so she could get up. "You wanna show me the way to Gabby's room?" I asked. She got up, as I heard many of her bones crack as she had been static in the same position for so long.

"Yeah, she has a spare bed which Max can sleep in, if you want?" She said, in a slow monotone voice.

"Yes please, that would be lovely." She led me to the room, and we laid them both down and tucked them into their respective beds. "Do you have anything I can use to sleep on the couch at all please?" I whispered, careful not to wake the children up.

"Dean, no way are you sleeping on the couch if you want to move ever again. It isn't the best couch to sleep on, you can sleep with me, just keep your hands to yourself." I decided not to argue with her, as I was too tired to get I a fight now, especially as she had offered me somewhere to sleep for the night.

During the night, we got very close to each other. Not physical. We really learnt how to open up to each other, and we shared our stories, and supported each other. I told her about Renee, and she completely understood, and told me how she was in the same situation with a man named James. We realised that we actually had quite a lot in common with each other. And who knows, maybe something special could come of this.

2 years later...

Valentines day. The one day I had dreaded for so many years. The day of the year, that made me just want to cry in despair. But for the past two years those things are at the back of my mind. They are things I no longer think or wish to do. Danielle has completely changed mine and Max's life's. Tonight we were having a little family dinner watching a movie in the living room, only it wasn't just a meal. Earlier in the day I had snuck a ring into dinner for Danielle to find. I was going to ask her to marry me.

We sat round the table as everyone began their food. I kept glancing up at Danielle, to see if she had found anything yet. I got another mouthful of food, when I heard a huge gasp escape someone's mouth. I looked up at Danielle, who had a beaming smile. "What's this?" She queried.

I got up and walked around the table, grabbing the ring from her. I got down on one knee, being very traditional, as the kids giggled between themselves. "Will you marry me?" I asked simply.

I didn't need a long speech to show her how much I love her, I'd always hoped that by spending the rest of my life with her, that would do all the talking. We had become our own little family, and for that I was so grateful for.

"Yes."

2 weeks later...

"Danielle, are you ready?" I asked my fiancée. Somehow that seems so weird to say, considering 3 years ago I completely despised her and her family.

"Why, where are we going?" She asked walking down the stairs looking as beautiful as ever.

"Monday night Raw is here tonight, and I wanted to go and see Roman and Seth, and introduce you to them. Only if you want to though." She came up to me, wrapping her arms around me,

"why not, should be fun." She pecked my lips, before skipping back upstairs to ready herself.

Danielle's POV

I sat on the crate as I watched Dean, as he intently stared at the screen watching his best friends wrestle, entertaining everyone. I knew inside it killed him, but he was trying to be strong for everyone. I walked up to him, placing my hand on his shoulder, making sure he knew I was there. I could see a few small tears run down his face. Watching this was breaking him, and was something I couldn't bare to see.

"You miss this, don't you?" I knew asking this would hit a nerve, but I wanted him to be open.

He stood up, standing in front of me. "I don't miss wrestling, I get to teach it to the next generation, whilst cotinuing to do what I love. Of course I would love to still be in WWE with my brothers, but everything happens for a reason, and so for now, I'm happy with what I am doing." I kissed him as I felt the relief knowing that deep down, Dean was okay.
