Demetri couldn't help but smirk as he watched your eyes widen. Your grip on your swords tightening as you narrowed your eyes at him. Demetri cleared his throat, turning his head slightly so he could look at you better, but not enough for your blades to cleave his head from his shoulders.

"Hello, little love, my name is Demetri. You are to come with me." You didn't even blink at the words, only raised a brow.

"The person, that blond? I forgot what his name is, but he gave you to us. You are to come with us now." To his utmost surprise, you lowered your blades, drawing them back into the cylinder sticks and sheathing them. You nodded, indicating your compliance.

Demetri was utterly stunned. He thought he would have to barter for your attention and compliance, but here you are, giving it to him freely. Whether you felt willing because of the bond or not, he didn't know, but he didn't dare question it. But he couldn't help the small smile as he watched you, knowing you felt the bond.

Demetri held his hand out, waiting for you to take it. You didn't, you brushed past him and started walking back down the hall. He got the hint, and caught up, taking his place beside you.

He felt awfully giddy about walking beside you. You, his mate, his equal, by his side. Although you flat-out ignored him, he still couldn't help the ghost of a smile that tugged at his lips.

He led the two of you out, guiding you to where Felix and the twins stood. Felix, unsurprisingly, still had the blond vampires head tucked up in his arms. You saw it, your eyes widening before smirking. "You freed me?"

Dear Gods, Demetri could have fallen on his knees at the sound of your voice. It was slightly raspy as you spoke, the lack of use wearing your vocals down. But Demetri simply stared at you in awe.

Felix was the one who spoke, "that was one hell of a fight, little human." You nodded at him, turning back to Demetri.

"Why did you free me?" Your question was blunt and sharp, your e/c eyes piercing right through him.

"We'll talk when we're back at the castle." You didn't seem to like that, but before anyone could say anything, your onyx blades were pointed directly at Demetri's throat. His eyes widened, his head jolting back in surprise.
"No, answer me now. Who killed him?" You asked, your head tilting towards the blond vampire. Felix stepped forward, "that was me."

You nodded, "the blondie you killed? He was my master." You cleared your throat as you bobbed your head towards the head in Felix's arms. "He also killed my previous master, therefore by default, he became my master. I'm guessing by your face, you now know that you're my new master." Felix looked utterly shocked. He turned to Demetri, who looked like he wanted to murder his friend.

"Why? How does that work?" Alec took the reins of asking, seeing as the tension between Demetri and Felix skyrocket.

"I made a mistake a few centuries ago and got cursed. Now, I can never leave nor harm or let any harm come to the person I serve. The witch that cursed me put me under her authority. But when she was hung, that mastership was passed onto the executioner. It's not a cycle I can break. But the master whom I serve at the time can pass me on, so if he doesn't wish to be in charge of me, he can give me to someone else." You took a breath, your eyes peeled themself from Alecs and back to Demetri. He raised his hand to your bicep, gripping it softly as he rubbed his thumb soothingly against your skin. You flinched slightly under his touch, but you hide it well. But not well enough that he didn't catch it, though and the mere thought that you've been hurt sends him into a spiral. But then again, you did kill a vampire. As a human. An immortal human, but still a human.

"But if you killed him, did you kill the others? Because he wasn't the one in charge, he was merely a pawn in that industry. The reason he was my master was that I refused to speak, so he never knew. If his superiors find out I've left, they're gonna be angry."

"Oh, they already are," the blond girl who stood behind the shorter boy smirked. You all followed her gaze back to the warehouse.

A line of vampires formed at the exit, all ranging from highly skilled fighters to some of the spectators. The blond girl then turned to the boy next to her, a wicked smile painted across her lips.

"Little human, get your blade out," Demetri growled at Felix, causing you to turn and glare at him. God, you hated the curse.

Felix chuckled, loving the fact that he could fuck with his best friend through his mate. He winked down at Demetri just as the vampires started flashing forward.
You disappeared in a blink of an eye, and with blades gripped evenly in both hands, you brought them down upon the vampires. The twins stood back as they usually did, their gift allowing some distance between them and their opponent while Demetri and Felix dismembered them.

But as everyone jumped into action, maiming every vampire that opposed them, Demetri couldn't help but be in awe of you. Never would he ever find a human butchering vampire attractive... Yet here he was.

He swiftly pulled the head off of a redheaded vampire, whose rat-like features somewhat reminded him of the ginger Cullen. His eyes caught your own briefly as your body twisted through the air as you cleaved a woman straight down her body.

Before he could open his mouth to say something, you disappeared again, almost leaving him breathless. You popped into existence next to him, shooting him a wink as you tore your sword through the air towards Demetri's head. He ducked, his eyes wide as he heard the familiar screech of vampiric limbs being torn. He spun, eyes landing on the falling body behind him, the top part of its skull completely gone. He smirked, turning back to you to give you a 'thank you', but you were gone again.

The fight continued like that, with Demetri and yourself dancing around each other, limbs falling all around you. If it wasn't a rusty old warehouse, he might have thought it was quite romantic.

After a few more minutes of yourself and the guards routine of ripping and slashing through everything that crossed your path, the field went quiet. Your chest rapidly rose and fell as you attempted to catch your breath. A hand fell onto your shoulder, drawing in your attention. You looked up to see Felix, the man you were to serve. He had a wicked smirk as he looked down at you, the blonde head still in his hands. You drew your head back, still looking at the head. Did he fight with the head in his hands? Dear God.

He placed the head in your hands, nodding towards you. "If I give you this, does this mean im not in charge of you?"

You were taken aback, your eyes wide as you let a short laugh out. "A head doesn't represent mastership. If you don't wish to be, then pass it down to someone else."

Felix shook his head, "no, im passing your own curse onto you. You don't belong to anyone." You were seemingly shocked as you stared in at the head in your hands, "im not sure it works like that."

Demetri spoke up, eager to help get his mate her freedom. "Have you ever tried it? If Felix passes it down to you, it may either break it or just stay with you."

You thought about it, not knowing if it would work, but if it meant freedom, then you were down to try. "If it did work, how would we know? I usually feel impulsively protective of the person I serve, as if their survival means my own."
Felix nodded, "well given that ive already said that you belong to yourself, do you still feel the protectiveness?" You shook your head, "im not sure."

The little girl smirked menacingly, "well, let's test it then." A loud groan escaped Felix's lips as he fell to the ground before you. You felt nothing towards him, not a single thing. He doubled over as he groaned again, his eyes scrunching as he turned the face the blonde. "God, please I think we get it, Jane."

The blonde, Jane turned to you tilting her head in questioning. You nodded to her, smiling, "nothing."

Demetri chuckled as he stepped forward, holding his hand out once more, hoping that you won't reject it again. You stared at his hand for a few moments before hesitantly looping your arm through his. It wasn't what he was hoping for but he wasn't going to complain.

He then looked up from you to Felix and the twins, "shall we get going then? I think Aros going to love you."
