Loki tied his black hair up, looked at himself in the mirror, before he removed the band. He let his hair fall down around his shoulders as he took the horned circlet he still wore on occasion. Once that was in his hair, he looked at his reflection and grinned. He was wearing a black trench coat, with a thin ermine trim on the collar, and a leather shirt that had been dyed green just for this event. He checked his boots, and slipped on a pair of black gloves. He was going to this thing in style. Loki quickly left his room and started running down the hallway. He dodged the servants, giving them his signature smirk as he passed along with a mock salute. "Congratulations on your wedding, sire!" several of them shouted after him. Loki simply raised his arm over his head in response. Loki rounded a corner after running and he almost crashed into Heimdall.
"Whoa!" they both said, but Loki was the one to take several steps back.
"Off to your banquet?" Heimdall asked as he eyed Loki's clothes. Loki straightened his coat and cleared his throat.
"Indeed, Thor invited me and I said yes. Besides, a little fun goes a long way," Loki responded. Heimdall nodded his head and slapped Loki on the back. Loki stumbled a little and smiled at the Guardian.
"Well, tell Thor not to get too drunk tonight," Heimdall warned and Loki smirked a little.
"Warnings never go anywhere with Thor. You should know that right?" Loki asked as he continued on to the banquet hall. Loki saw several other young men he and Thor had grown up with. They greeted him with big smiles, whoops, and cheers. Loki nodded and entered the hall. It was bathed in golden light, and there was a huge bonfire in the center of the room. As soon as everyone saw him, they raised their goblets and basically roared. Loki whispered some magic words and blocked his ears. Once they lowered their cups, he took the spell away.
"Loki! Glad that you decided not to be stingy, and join us. Fellow warriors, here is the man! My brother, Loki, will be marrying Princess Sigyn of the Light Elves. An alliance will be made between Asgard and Alfheim. And if you've seen the Princess of Alfheim, you know that my brother is a lucky man!" Thor slapped Loki on the back and drained the cup in his hand. Loki smiled and suddenly his eyes glow a little green. He grinned and gently waved his hand. The wine and ale danced in the cups. Everyone was about to get very drunk!
