Both Loki and Thor took several steps back, and gaped at the hideous figure before them. His skin became bulgy and bumpy, revealing some sort of skin condition. His teeth became crooked fangs, and his fingernails long claws. Loki and Thor stared up at this monstrosity, and Loki wondered how they were to defeat it. Once he had reached his full height, Ragnarok brought his hand smashing down on the ground. The vibration knocked Loki and Thor off of their feet, and for a moment after they landed, they were stunned and confused. Ragnarok charged and lashed out with his claws. Thor brought up his hammer, and the nails slid off of it, but they nicked Loki as they went by. He glanced down at his shoulder and saw that the nails had gone completely through his clothing and torn his skin. Thor bellowed when he saw that his brother was injured, and he leapt to his feet, swinging his hammer.

Ragnarok was waiting for that, and he brought his fist down on top of Thor. Thor raised his hammer, but he was still smashed into the ground. When Ragnarok raised his hand, Thor was a crumpled heap. He would have smashed him again, but Loki came up wielding his scepter. He slashed Ragnarok across the abdomen, on the chest, under both arms, and finally at the back of his knees. Ragnarok was starting to fall, when Loki jumped onto his back, and wrapped his scepter around his neck. With all his might, he pulled towards himself, snapping Ragnarok's neck back. The giant roared and sank to his knees. With a wave of his hand, Loki sent Thor's body back to Asgard, and he jumped off Ragnarok's back, and turned around. The Frost Giant fell to the ground at his feet.

Loki walked over to him and crouched down by his head. "Can you hear me beast? You are a monster. Caring about people is what separates us from the brutes of this universe. You gave up a long time ago. But I? I will never give up," Loki told him. As he started to stand up, he heard Ragnarok begin to chuckle. That chuckle turned into a chortle, and that chortle turned into a laugh. The beast was laughing at Loki, so Loki paused to hear what he had to say.

"You are a fool! Loved ones will be your death! I've seen the future, Loki. You will lose everything, and it will make you bitter and angry inside. You will lash out at your brother and your father because it will be their fault that your family is dead. Against them, among others, you will lose, and then you too, will die! That is your fate!"
